Cannot connect my WGR614 to x-box? help asap.

Best way is do a factory reset.Press and hold reset button during this procedure ,do not release the button until you are finished and you will be back to factory default.

1)Hold button 30 sec.
2)remove power cord hold 30 sec.
3)plug in power cord 30 sec.
You should now be in default factory mode,good to go.

This has happened to me before. I had to unplug my router, then unplug my modem aswell (if you have one) and I waited for a good 10 minutes. Then plugged my modem in and let it boot up all the way, then plugged in my router, and it worked fine after that.

1. If this is wireless I would try position the game box closer to the router or hard wire to the game box if possible.
2. You also may have a problem with bandwidth. The other computer is competing with your Xbox for bandwidth and the switch may not be able to supply it to both the device at the same time.
3. check if your router to see if you have QOS ( quality of service). Log into the router and check this feature to see if it is enabled.

PC card modem will not work with any router. What you need is an actual modem. Another box from Verizon.

Connect to the router by typing
http://www.routerlogin.net in the address bar of a browser.
if it asks for the id and password enter
id = admin
password = admin or password or leave it empty

go to Wireless Settings and Change the Channel using the drop down box. Save the settings.

Resetting the router is not really the solution. I would suggest you upgrade the firmware of the router. WGR614 has nine versions. So please make sure to choose the correct firmware for your router. The firmware can be found here.. http://kbserver.netgear.com/products/WGR614.asp

Hi, you need to connect to the routers admin pages to configure the wireless settings and security. Check out this page:-

When you get to step 6, click the WPA-PSK security setting and it will give you a box to type in a password of your choice, make it memorable but difficult to guess, so a mixture of numbers and letters. I think its a min of 8 characters.

there is no such solution for ur problem ..... the only solution is to firstly reset the router for 30 seconds and then upgrade the firmware of the router ..... remove the powercord for 10 seconds ...
