I have an LGVX8100 for Verizon Wireless. It is locked and I don't know the unlock code. I am not sure what phone # was on it before this. Any Ideas?

This is my second LG VX 5200. The first one died of the dim screen and this one is dying from the blue screen. This has happened to every single LG Ive owned. (vx3200, and 2 VX 3300s). LG is a horrible manufacturer and they make their phones to die in one year of wear and tear. Nokia is probably your best bet. As for a fix, try combinations of popping out the battery, toggling DC power to it form the wall transformer. I am going to try to take mine apart after I back up the contacts to verizon. I'll get back to this forum afterwards. I heard it may be a stretched/disconnected ribbon cable. I would suspect that because my phone doesnt stop a call when I close it, and I did not set it up that way.

you can take the phone into any verizon wireless store...
if the associates were knowledgeable inside that store they would be able to hook it up to the PST machine and find out the lock code for you
however, good luck trying to find a knowledgeable VZW associate
SOURCE: unlock LG 6400 verizon phone. never had a code in first place!
the default is always one of these code try them all the last four digits of the phonenumber last programmed in the phone aka your number or 9999,1234,4321,0000,1111 if none of those work you can go the retail store for a flash they hook it to the computer and push software to the phone to correct the issue it takes five mins and its free its a common issue for them to correct if you change your lock code from the default in the future always set up a dummy contact with it in there so that you can easily look it up also please vote for me I'm trying to work my way up to expert level and I cant without your vote please
