When the family told me the water dispenser was not working on my Kenmore 24 side-by-side, I opened the freezer and found the back wall bulging inward. I removed it and found ice clumps on the coils. I disconnected the water line below the door and there was no water flow to that point. Is the water supply line frozen by the great clumps of ice? How do I insure the great clumps of ice do not return?

Marty, sounds like the refrigerator is not going in defrost cycle.There could be several factors causing the ice buildup. Symptoms of this are higher freezer and cold food temps If you could look around the door panel for a model number, Example:106.48062890 I may be able to help you solve the problem.
Causes could be defrost timer, defrost element, element wiring connections, etc. Let me know , Thanks, Sea Breeze
