I'm trying to control my DRD480RE with a new DirecTV RC64R RF Remote control and can't get the RF to work.

ApprenticeThe RC64R remote supports RF for the newest directv receivers. It will support the IR for your receiver though. Ask directv for a new receiver, if you are polite they will send you one for free....
