Call for serviceU6:03

U6-03 refers to the large paper deck, tray 3 where the lift motor was unable to lift the paper to the pick up rollers. usually caused by a paper jam. Reset the machine by using #*C* then enter 15, press execute & then CA. If the machine displays the error again then the lifter motor would need to be replaced.

HP LJ 4200 does not lift the paper deck, but goes to ready state

If the paper does not lift, remove tray 2 and look inside to your right and you will see the paper lifter. Make sure the spring has not fallen off the lifter. You may need to replace the lifter. Also try lifting the paper deck by hand to make sure there is no obstructions in the tray itself.

Paper not being grabbed in the feed tray

The reason for this, I discovered, eventually, was because I had all 3 buttons at the front of the printer simultaneously lit up! When I turned off the bottom button (for automatic feed) the paper began immediately to to feed through as per normal!! So there we go. Problem solved. By an amateur.

Red and Green lights are together blinking continiously

I had this problem. The cancel button was stucked. Open the toner tray and slighly push the button side top-cover up. It released the cancel button for me (actually I was trying to open the top, but it worked). The cancel button was released and the blinking red-green stopped. Printer now working.
