Audio problems

I have the Mad Catz universal s-av cable for my xbox, xbox 360, ps2, and gamecube. All systems are hooked up to it properly, and I can see everything clear as a bell. But for some reason, the sound is so low that I have to crank my TV the whole way up to even REMOTELY hear anything. I've tried plugging everything in a million different ways, and nothing works! I'm gettin' kinda ticked off, and I have no clue what to do.
