Paper jams when I try to fax, copy single or multiple pages. I finally get it to go through if I get it in just the right spot sidways. Centering levers do not help. I cannot find the rollers to clean with alchohol, or how to get to them. willregal@comcast.net Thanks.

Yes, it picks up paper advances a short diostance stops and print out a document jammed. After trying several time it might go, but on the receiving end they get a blank sheet. Only happens on my 24/60# offset stock, never on my 20# stock. Problem all my letterheads and statements are printed on 60# paper

Where do I get the rollers and how do I install them?

I tried the alcohol, swabbing the roller with a Q-tip, and it seemed to do the trick. Hint: Don't use the Q-tip on your ear first.

Try cleaning the rollers with alcohol, they may be dirty and slipping when trying to grab the paper.
If it is too smooth, then they may need to be changed.

MyHP psc 1315 printer scanner keeps saying im empty but it is filled to capacity with paper. what can i do

Hi chrisneil,

This issue is generally caused by dirty rollers. Dust, paper scraps, and grime build-up on the paper feed rollers can cause paper jams. Follow these steps to clean the paper feed rollers.

Step one: Clean the rollers

Gather the following materials:

1. A clean, lint-free cloth, or any cloth that will not come apart or leave fibers Distilled, filtered, or bottled water (tap water might damage the product) Clean, lint-free cotton swabs.

2. Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.

3. Press the tab on the left side of the rear access door, and then pull the door outward to remove it.

4. Lightly dampen a clean, lint-free cloth with bottled or distilled water, and then squeeze any excess liquid from the cloth.

5. Press the cloth against the paper feed rollers, and then rotate them upward with your fingers. Apply a moderate amount of pressure to remove any dust or dirt build-up.

6. Locate the pick roller on the left side of the product below and behind the paper feed roller.

7. Lightly dampen a clean, lint-free cotton swab, and then use it to clean the pick roller.

8. Allow the rollers to dry for 10 or 15 minutes.

9. Check the rollers on the rear access door. Make sure that the rollers are not missing, that they turn easily, and that they are springy when you press them. If the rollers are damaged, replace the door.

10. Reattach the rear access door. Align the door pins with the slots on the right side of the rear of the product, and then push the door forward, snapping it into place.

11. Press the On/Resume button ( ) to turn on the product.

Step two: Print a self-test report

Print a self-test report. See the section on how to use these solutions at the beginning of this document.

If the self-test report does not print when slowly pushing the paper farther in , repeat the previous steps to clean the rollers again. If the issue continues after repeated cleaning, skip the next solution in this document, and then service the product. If the self-test report prints when slowly pushing the paper farther in , try printing the original document again. The paper might not have been loaded far enough into the product. If the issue is resolved, there is no need to continue troubleshooting. If the paper only feeds through the product when you slowly push it farther in , repeat the previous steps to clean the rollers again. If the issue continues after repeated cleaning, skip the next solution in this document, and then service the product.

If the self-test report prints , try printing the original document again. If the issue is resolved, there is no need to continue troubleshooting. If the self-test report prints, but the original document does not , continue to the next solution in this document. If the self-test report does not print , try printing the report again. Listen for the rubber paper-pick rollers; you should be able to hear them rotating. Then, try slowly pushing the paper farther in until the roller engages to pick up the paper. Be careful not to push the paper in too far, which can cause paper jams.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

The left side of documents received do not print. How do I correct that?

I've checked my 3055 service manual and do not see this particular error as you've described it; I do have a couple of suggestions which may be helpful.
Since only half the page is printing, this implies an error with the print cartridge itself, it may either be low on toner or it may be damaged.
Does this error occur when you are printing documents from your computer or making copies as well? or does it only occur when you are receiving faxes? If the error is occuring regardless of what you are printing (or copying) and from received faxes I would have to conclude an issue with the toner cartridge itself.
You can visually inspect the cartridge by pulling back the plastic cover part and see if the roller shows signs of damage. If so, replace it.

Try shaking the catridge back and forth to even out the toner inside; If the cartidge is low on toner it's possible that what remains is only on one side.
Inside the printer, below where the cartridge sits is a black colored, somewhat spongy roller. This is called the transfer roller and if it's damaged it could be the cause of your print quality error.
Lastly, I would try a new HP cartridge, stay away from the generic brand ones as they tend to have a much higher failure rate and do not come with the HP warranty.
I hope this helps!

Status Code 19

Look in you menus. Your log print out is probably set to on and set to print out way to frequently. You can turn that feature off.
You can go to Xerox.com, click on Support and drivers. In the search box type in 116 then go to support and then type in Log, There should be an answer there as to how to shut off log printing. You cold also type in code 19 when you get to the support page.

Personal fax problem

its seems as though you may have a sensor problem or dirty rollers which feed in your original document. Try this:

open up the cover where you feed in your original document and clean all feed rollers which are normally rubber rollers and make sure you dry them off.
also check for a little arm sticking out which is a sensor flag and make sure it is not damaged and also that it springs back up when pressed.
Can you please let us know the make and model of fax please.
Hope this helps.

"DOCUMENT JAM" refers to your original document that you are trying to send. Lift the top of the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) and look for a tiny peice of torn paper. If not, look for a stuck sensor flag (might look like a small plastic finger). If still no go, clean the roller that feeds the original, it may be worn out and slick. Hope it helps Ed
