Re: display on the screen/monitor

Im not sure if this will help but if your video card have its own control panel try going there and try looking for Rotate Display or something close to it. Im using Nvidia 6200LE and it has the option to rotate 90 and 180 might want to try it

Rotate screen

There are many ways.

With Intel HD Graphics Control Panel:
Rotate to 0 Degree: <Ctrl><Alt>Up arrow
Rotate to 90 Degree: <Ctrl><Alt>Left arrow
Rotate to 180 Degree: <Ctrl><Alt>Down arrow
Rotate to 270 Degree: <Ctrl><Alt>Right arrow

You can enter this Hot Keys panel by pressing:

Or right click on the desktop you will find:
Graphic Option. Click on it and in the expanded balloon,
Click "Rotation"

On monitor menu. This, I have no information. Couldn't find it on my Dell E2011H menu.

Hope this helps.

I was wiping my keyboard when I accidentally inverted the display of the monitor. How could I revert the display back. Thanks

This actually happens a lot, and it's very tricky but simpleto fix.
Here is a full list of keys that someone on another website sent me for
screen orientation problems, in case it's ever useful.

Ctrl-Alt-Up - right side up

Ctrl-Alt-Right - 90 degrees

Ctrl-Alt-Down - 180 degrees

Ctrl-Alt-Left - 270 degrees

If these don't work you'll have to do it manually,
There is an icon at the bottom of the screen (now maybe the top) for yourgraphics properties. Right Click it

Select--->Graphics Options--->Rotation---> and make sure"normal" is checked
It will be weird with the screen inverted but give it a go.

Hope this helps

After dropping the mouse the screen turned 90 degrees counterclockwise

Probably not the monitor but a software issue. Depending on what OS/graphics driver you use you can rotate the screen. I would need to do is find the setting and rotate it back to normal. For instance if you are using XP and integrated intel graphics you can right click anywhere on the desktop area, left click on graphic options and rotate 90, 180, or 270 degrees. If you run NVIDIA you can right click on your desktop area and click on NIVIDIA control panel. From there find rotation settings and choose what you need to return your display to normal.

> how do I fix ?

Keep any "pranksters" away from your computer. :-)

The software for your video-card has an option to "rotate" the displayed image, either 90 or 180 or 270 degrees. Some "prankster" has set your video-card to the '180 degrees' setting. Change it back, or turn your monitor upside down. :-)

Display is completely upside down

Try connecting it to a different computer. If it's upside-down on another computer, then the panel is probably mounted upside-down. If it can be removed from the stand, remove it and see if it can be mounted the other way.

If it's correct on another computer, then your graphics settings are incorrect. Assuming you're running Windows, go to Display Properties, Settings tab, click Advanced button, look for a tab describing your video adapter (usually ATI or NVIDIA). In the video adapter's setup there is usually a Rotation option. The rotation option may be set to 180-degrees instead of Normal or 0-degrees.

Rotation of desktop

Flipped monitor display in Windows. Third-party software utilities such as the NVIDIA Settings have the ability to flip or rotate a monitor's display 0, 90, 180, and/or 270 degrees

Screen has rotated 180 degrees

I have lots of Dell monitors and none of them has the ability to flip the screen orientation built into them. What I suspect has happened is he accidentally hit a keystroke combination that activated a feature in your video card driver. If you have the built-in Intel Extreme Graphics read this link and let us know if it helps.
