Re: software issue

You should be able to connect with a USB cable The male end may not be standard size, so you may need to locate a cable.
Once you connect the Computer will try to load your images or it will treat your Camera as another hard drive from which you can copy onto your existing system. To the process your photo just buy some image software, if your system try to open file but won't diplay image. Most printer (Ex: HP come with image software).

How do I fit the Hoya UV filter that I have been sold with my New Nikon D3100?? Darent be too heavy handed as new to this. Thanks.

The filter doesn't go onto the camera, but onto the lens. Assuming it's the proper size, it should just screw into the threads on the front of the lens (the end away from the camera). If the lens hood is on, remove it first.

No image on lcd for taking pictures. Lcd works fine to go through also to view old pictures. just black in camera mode. Tried shooting anyway and no picture. This happened once before and went away an hour...

A stuck shutter is another common failure mode for digital cameras. The symptoms of a stuck or "sticky" shutter are very similar to CCD image sensor failure. The camera may take black pictures (for shutter stuck closed), or the pictures may be very bright and overexposed, especially when taken outdoors (for shutter stuck open).

To confirm a stuck shutter, put the camera in any mode other than "Auto", and turn the flash OFF (you don't want to blind yourself for the next step). Next look down the lens and take a picture. You should see a tiny flicker in the center of the lens as the shutter opens and closes. If no movement is seen, then you likely have a stuck shutter. If so, please see this link for further info and a simple fix that may help.

Old computer went bad dont have the software to

If you need the driver to download pictures, do it the easy way. Use a card reader to download your pictures to a folder you create on your desktop.

Lens partially in and out- shutting off and back on doesn't help

It's a problem with the lens - they may get stuck at some point or most likely the focus is stuck.
This is not a software problem, so I'm afraid you will have to give it away for a repair. You should contact your local Panasonic service center or other local camera service center. If they all ask too much for the repair, you can try contacting me at

Hope this helps!

Need the software to down load pics on my pc

This is a toy camera that sells for under $15.

It is sold under different names.

By the time you track down the software and drivers you could spend $15 and buy another one (with a CD).Better still give it away and buy a better camera, the resolution is poor

Camera formatted and all images gone ~ how do i retrieve them?

There are various sources of image recovery software. Most decent photo stores have some type of recovery software, which usually recovers most, if not all, deleted images. Ask at your local photo shop. Prices will vary, usually on a "per image recovered" basis. There is also software sold on-line, which will check your disk for free, and show you what it can recover. In order to actually recover them, you need to buy the software. I suggest trying the local shops first. Hopefully, all is not all lost! Good luck.

Battery doesn't hold a charge

Hello krad,

I have seen this issue in quite a lot of cameras and the battery or charger are not the issue here. A software update will fix this issue 9 out of 10 times. Connect your camera to the PC and then run this exe file
