Zoom error on fujifilm

Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ... Unfortunately, many cameras that fall prey to this can only be corrected by professional repair. But, here are some things that you can do that may correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty, they're worth a try.

How do I fix the Zoom Error for Fuji Finepix F47fd? I can't even extend the lens fully like what previous posts stated

Hi Jasmine,

With fresh batteries inserted in your camera, try to do this little trick:

1. Hold the camera on your right hand with the lens facing the ground.

2. As you press the power on button, tap or hit the camera's base to your left palm. Do this several times.

Chances are, there could be a sand or granule of dust that got stuck on the sides of the lens, preventing it to retract properly.

Hope this helps.

Fujifilm finepix F47fd my movie has been stored

Connect the camera to your computer, without a memory card inserted.
Transfer the movie to the computer. After this is done, you format the camera using the Setup menu. Then you will have cleared the internal memory. Before formatting, check that the movie has been transfered the computer.

Finepix A400

If the "!ZOOM ERROR" message is displayed on the digital camera, switch the camera off and on again 2 or 3 times.
If this does not clear the error, take the camera to your nearest FUJIFILM Service Station for testing and repairs. Problem may caused by lens zooming gears stuck.
