The maintenance light needs to be reset manually. See my Tips and Tricks on this website for additional information on how to reset it.

You should also check your spare tire for proper inflation. It will set the tire pressure light, as the spare is monitored also. If all 5 tires are OK, you may have a malfunctioning tire pressure sensor. If the tires have been changed recently, people with older tire machines have been known to break the sensors regularly, by mistake.

Tire pressure monitoring light on my 2008 Toyota highlander is displayed on dashboard

First make sure all tires including the spare have 35 psi, if that is the only problem the light will go off, there may be a reset switch on the lower part of the dash, it says "set" on it, push the button and hold it in, turn the key on and wait for the light to flash three times, release the button, if the light comes back on there is a problem with the system, possibly one of the sensors is not sending a signal, this will require going to a toyota dealer to correct.

Our 08 toyota highlander 4 wheel drive we bought new, now at 25,000 our tires are shot. We took it in to have the tires rotated and they all have tears, Now we are getting the run around from everybody....

if air was check at every oil change and tires rotated every 9,000 miles , and an ailgnment every 2 years then tires should be good, when you say tears do you mean cracks and cut like marks on the tire, if so they will not help. most dealers blame the tire maker instead of making so deal with you to keep you buying toyota,if you have receipts from rotating then call toyota corp, talk to someone there, good luck.

When do I change the transmission fluid in my 2003 Highlander?

If the fluid smells burnt or is black, replace fluid. Manufacturer suggests that you inspect it at every 30,000 mile interval. I would suggest having it flushed every 75,000 miles as a normal maintenence.
