Samsung printer problems clp-510 I've had this printer for just over two years - good printer. However recently it is producing very dirty print outs, there are repeated patterns of smudges. What can I do to get better copies?

As long as your asking about the CLP-510 then the answer is no. It is a PC printer only with no copying capability. Samsung does make some multifunction color lasers that will Copy/Print/Fax and Scan.

There must be some problem in your settings. Check it out properly

bcase clp 500 is without chip and clp 510 chip base cartridge so never u can user.

Faulty Drum Unit
Faulty Transfer Belt
Contaminated Fuser
Damaged or dirty LSU glass

I've also seen this sort of thing caused by a crusty build-up of toner on a wiiper blade on the Transfer Belt, and or Drum.

Most probably you are using an USB cable that is either too thin (cheap cable) or too long (beyond 6ft.).
