Epson Photo Printer R300

I just changed out my yellow ink cartridge and now black won't print at all. I have checked all my settings, even restored to default. It wasn't used for a month or so before I could get a hold of yellow, but prior to that, it worked great. Any suggestions?

What printer do you use? Epson R300 or brother mfc210?
