Re: Lint vent

There is no lint filter in this machine, however, the condensing duct and condensing bellows can get be a problem later on if it gets jammed up with too much lint.  If you notice that it takes 50% longer or more to dry your clothes, you will need to have the duct checked and cleared out of excess lint buildup inside.  Not an easy job but it can be done.

I suppose you want to clean the lint vent to outside. Clean out the filter first by removing the manual filter and pulling off all stuck lint. Try this link to clean the vent:

You can use a vacuum to pull out the old lint. There are some flexible brushes that can help break loose the lint from the wall of the vent tube.

We have a combo dryer and washer. Washer is A2444330KH. Leaves lint on cotton shirts, have cleaned the filter no help. Any ideas? David

Dryer lint not only presents a problem by cluttering up your clothes with white specks, but it can also lead to a dryer fire. While it is impossible to completely eliminate dryer lint, you can take action to drastically reduce lint and the potential problems that come along with excess dryer lint. If your clothes take more than one cycle to dry, you see no lint on the lint screen, the clothes are very hot after drying or you find excess lint on the clothes after drying, you probably have a problem with accumulation of dryer lint in the dryer vent.
Use a dryer vent cleaning brush and clean the dryer vent, or hire a professional to clean the exhaust vent behind your dryer. If your dryer vent is clogged, it will create excess dust in the dryer and on the clothes. The excess lint can eventually catch on fire given the heat load of the dryer.

My legacey washer is leaving lint on clothes

Of course you've probably already done this but if not, check the filter and clean it. Additionally, you might need to wash it to remove residue from dryer sheets and BE SURE TO DRY IT BEFORE PUTTING IT BACK IN THE DRYER. If the filter is clean and washed and you're still having lint, get a dryer brush and clean down in the area where the filter goes. Also go to the vent area outdoors and clean that with the dryer brush. That area can become clogged over time and prevent the dryer from effectively removing the lint. Furthermore, check the exhaust piping. If it is bent, gently move it a little to dislodge any lint that might have gotten stuck there over the years.

My calypso machine leave alot of lint on clothing

you have to clean the lint trap before every use. I assume that you know that. also , you need to clean the area where the lint trap is really good, so you dont have a dryer fire.

Not a problem more a question

At the bottom of your machine in the front there is a panel that will pull off. It runs the width of the machine and is about 3" in height. Just pull and it will come off. Under this panel is a lint filter that is behind a screws off front,( it is round, about 3" ). Be sure to put a towel under it before you unscrew it as it will drain some water. Pull the lint tray out, clean, put vaseline on gasket before reinserting. Be sure to tighten so it doesn't leak.

Also, if it is vented to the outside, reach into the dryer vent from outside and check for a lint build up. If the lint is allowed to build up and is not cleaned out it will slow down your drying time, also it could cause a fire if it got too hot.

Bosch Nexxt 500 Plus Elect Dryer Error E01

Absolutely those dryer sheets are the root of all evil....I would also recommend a good vent brush to clean your dryer vent.
Follow these steps, it worked for me:
1. use a shop vacuum to clean out the dry vent or a vent brush.
2. Clean your lint filter with windex, hot water and and soft bristle brush.
If this doesnt work try running the until disconnected from the vent for a cycle to isolate the vent as your issue.

Unfortunately that is one thing the engineers forgot to put on this unit, a lint trap. Over time the other thing that will happen is the plastic venting will clog and your drying will take longer. When this happens you have to open the unit and clean it out, not that easy a task.

How to locate and clean the lint trap

Top load washing machines do have lint filters, they used older models have trays that sit on top of the agitator. Newer ones aren't as obvious and are attached to the bottom of the inner tub. If you remove the agitator, you'll see a bunch of holes in the bottom of the tub, the filter right behind these holes. Cleaning/replacing it involves removing the inner tub, so it's not an easy task. It is likely that by the time you're having problems with the filter, it will be beyond cleaning and will need to be replaced. Considering all the trouble it takes to get to, you might as well.
