Word document to remove paragraph symbols from a word document

Dear misseap, you probably have put the 'track changes' option on. You can remove it by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+E. This should stop removing paragraph symbols from your text.

You might also like to select all the text and right click to find format option. In this options you can make the changes to formatting of the text.

How to delete a page break in word

Click on the funky paragraph symbol in the menu. It is a backwards P with two vetical lines. This button shows all of the hidden formatting commands. Once a shown, they can be highlited and deleted like normal text.

Need to eliminate blank pages at end of word document

You can delete a blank page in a Word document by deleting the page break at the end of the page. You can also combine two pages by deleting the page break between them.
Make sure you're in normal view (on the View menu, click Normal). If nonprinting characters, such as paragraph markers , are not visible, click Show/Hide on the Standard toolbar, and then do one of the following:
  • To delete a page manually, select the page break at the end of the page, and then press DELETE.
  • To delete a blank page at the end of the document, select the page break or any paragraph markers at the end of the document, and then press DELETE.
  • To delete a page break placed before a specific paragraph, click the paragraph, and then on the Format menu, click Paragraph, click the Line and Page Breaks tab, and then clear the Page break before check box.

Prints blank page

Have you checked the print que
Printer problems can be a real hassle.
From time to time, due to document layout or settings on your computer, in your software of choice, or even on your printer, a blank page may get "printed" with the rest of your document.
Fortunately, this issue is a simple one to troubleshoot.
Click "Print Preview" when you are finished with your document and ready to print.
Observe your document.
If you see an extra, blank page, you have created a second page.
To delete the second page, close Print Preview, go back into the document and eliminate any blank lines in your documents that you may not need.
You may also find an inadvertent page break at the end of your document.
Place your cursor on its symbol and delete it.
Locate the symbol by clicking on the Show Formatting paragraph icon in the toolbar.

Circumvent this "ghost page" if you do not see a second (or additional) blank page in Print Preview.

Specify the number of pages you wish to print, within the Print dialogue box.
This is typically done by selecting the "Print From" option, then entering the page numbers desired.
If your document happens to be ten pages (without, of course, that final blank page), then enter in the "Print From" field the numbers "1-10".
This will print only pages 1 through 10, without an eleventh (blank) page.

Printing jobs are coming out with the text off the page

Some blank paragraphs may have spilled onto the last page. To view paragraph marks (paragraph mark: The nonprinting symbol that Microsoft Word inserts when you press ENTER to end a paragraph. The paragraph mark stores the formatting you apply to the paragraph.), click Show/Hide on the Standard toolbar (toolbar: A bar with buttons and options that you use to carry out commands. To display a toolbar, press ALT and then SHIFT+F10.). If you see paragraph marks without text on the last page of your document, delete them. Then click Print Preview on the Standard toolbar to view the document as it will be printed and verify that there is no longer a blank page at the end of your document

Once you have started up Word and are on the "HOME" tab look to the paragraph section and you will see the "music symbol" Click on that and it will remove them from the page you are working on.

I'a computer idiot. I can not figure out how to hilite a paragraph from something i'm reading on the internet and just print that paragraph off my printer

Hi! you may press and hold the left button of your mouse from the start of the paragraph till the end of the last sentence of the paragraph that you want to copy. after you highlight the paragraph, you may press CTRL + C button on your keyboard to copy all the sentences, open a word document, right click on the word document and press paste. this will paste the paragraph on the word document. lastly you may press CTRL + P to print the file. Import Microsoft Office documents (Windows only) You can insert the full contents of a Microsoft Word or Excel document in a new or existing web page. When you import a Word or Excel document, Dreamweaver receives the converted HTML and inserts it into your web page. The file’s size, after Dreamweaver receives the converted HTML, must be less than 300K.
Instead of importing the entire contents of a file, you can also paste portions of a Word document and preserve the formatting.
Note: If you use Microsoft Office 97, you cannot import the contents of a Word or Excel document; you must insert a link to the document.
  1. Open the web page into which you want to insert the Word or Excel document.
  2. In Design view, do one of the following to select the file:
    • Drag the file from its current location to the page where you want the content to appear.
    • Select File > Import > Word Document or File > Import > Excel Document.
  3. In the Insert Document dialog box, browse to the file you want to add, select any of the formatting options from the Formatting pop-up menu at the bottom of the dialog box, and then click Open. Text Only Inserts unformatted text. If the original text is formatted, all formatting will be removed.
    Text With Structure Inserts text that retains structure, but does not retain basic formatting. For example, you can paste text and retain the structure of paragraphs, lists, and tables, without retaining bold, italics, and other formatting.
    Text With Structure Plus Basic Formatting Inserts both structured and simple HTML-formatted text (e.g., paragraphs and tables, as well as text formatted with the b, i, u, strong, em, hr, abbr, or acronym tag).
    Text With Structure Plus Full Formatting Inserts text that retains all structure, HTML formatting, and CSS styles.
    Clean Up Word Paragraph Spacing Eliminates extra space between paragraphs when you paste your text if you selected Text With Structure or Basic Formatting. The contents of the Word or Excel document appear in your page.
