Re: word document

Dear misseap, you probably have put the 'track changes' option on. You can remove it by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+E. This should stop removing paragraph symbols from your text.

You might also like to select all the text and right click to find format option. In this options you can make the changes to formatting of the text.

If this was helpful please press solved.

The symbol "show all" looks like an inverted letter P the command ctrl+* is suppose to cut off but doesn't

That strange "P" is the old fashioned symbol for "paragraph break". There should be a "P" button on the ribbon in the "Home" section. You can also type Ctrl+Shift+8. The numpad "*" won't work in this case.

What's your problem? How to change line settings on new document

See the picture.

the button circled in red is for line spacing settings.
Click the button and select line spacing.
If you want to set paragraph formatting options (like in Word 2003), click the small arrow icon right to the word 'Paragraph' below the line spacing button.

In word 2007 a fullstop and a p keeps appearing after you type a word. I can't seem to get rid of it. Please help.

You have the paragraph marks on. In the 'paragraph' section of the 'home' tabmoz-screenshot.png there should be the little 'p' that you're seeing. Click on that and they should go away.

While they are there on your screen, they won't print out on your document.

Hope this helps. :)

Word 2007 Formatting problems

Dear alyrian, this might be because of your line spacing settings. Go to formatting and reduce line spacing between lines and it should fit to 2 pages. You also might like to verify that font and text size is same in both documents.

Make sure you haven't written any additional text. Try to check spacing between paragraphs too.

If that was helpful please press 'fixya'
