No sound at all whatsoever!

I have a IBM(Lenovo X61s) and when i go to the sound and audio devices it says there is no sound device and everything is "grayed" out. The only thing that could be wrong is the SoundMax Integrated Digital HD Audio thing. I am having trouble downloading it and it is driving me CRAZY! Does anyone know how to solve my problem?

My lenovo 3000 H series sound driver not installed please help me

The same model Lenovocan have different types of network, video and audio drivers and unless youknow exactly which one is installed in your Lenovo, you need to download allthe drivers and install each driver until you find the right driver. When you download thedrivers, write down the device driver and it's file name so you have a recordof which driver you are installing and which directory the unzipped files arelocated on your hard drive. Go to the IBM/Lenovo WEBsite - support/download page and download the latest Windows device drivers foryour model computer, Use this link: - http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/product.do?template=%2Fproductselection%2Flandingpages%2FbrowseByProductLandingPage.vm&sitestyle=lenovo&brandind=10&validate=true

Sound Device Missing? I have an IBM Thinkpad X61s

Hi, you can do a better search using the product # from under the laptop on IBM's website instead of x61s, I think you need to remove or update the driver with the device manager, here is a link to some X61s drivers, try the chipset one first, you may need the HD audio patch too. post the product# and I'll search for it.

Sound Device Missing?? I have an IBM Thinkpad X61s

You should open the Device Manager through the Control Panel and check if the audio device is recognized and has the proper driver installed.
If an unknown or other device is listed, that might mean you need to install the drivers again.

No sound in my pc after driver instalation

Either the wrong driver was installed or the audio device is faulty. To check if the correct driver was installed, go to Control Panel - System - Hardware - Device Manager - If you get a yellow ? against the audio device then the driver for this device was not installed. Go to the IBM/Lenovo WEB site - support/download page and download the latest Windows XP or Vista device drivers for your model computer, Use this link :- http://www.ibm.com/products/finder/us/finders?pg=ddfinder&cm_re=other-_-suprcn-_-download

Sound device problem

Just go to IBM's support site and download the latest drivers for your machine, and use those (the ones with the most current date by them).
Good luck.
