I'v been tring for 2 days to download my COD WAW MAPS and I always receive the same error code....80070017....I need help with this issue.....

Sounds like the laser diode burned out. If your under warranty send it in. If not you could buy a replacment and install it yourself.

if you are from any other country besides us you will have problems downloading that... so if your gamertag was registered to a foreign country make a new one registered to the usa and then put some points on it and download the map pack you can then play it on both gamertags :) hopefully this helps

hapens to me to i think we have a corupted data on cod WaW just restore your playstation if you have any maps download them again

Many people have reported this problem when they are accessing downloadable content through a router. Try connecting your xbox directly to the modem supplied by your ISP to download the maps. Connect the Xbox directly, delete the previous download, and download it again.

If that doesn't work, you might need to contact Xbox technical support with more details, such as what exactly you were downloading. Several items can only be downloaded in certain countries or have other restrictions in place, and they will often give this error.

Your hard drive may be full.

8007017, that error code is related to your network..

download the maps, using a direct connection to modem to console,

if that doesnt work call your isp, tell them to increase the size of your bandwith...

It sounds like your download is being affected by another source.  If you have a router, try hooking directly to the modem and then download it

This status code means that it is related to your internet service provider

You guys need to increase your download size capacity

I Also recommend you try this steps:

1. Go to memory -> Press Y button for device options
On That screen press X,X Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X,X

You will receive a message saying : " This will perform maintenance on your xbox 360 console, do you want to continue? Select Yes

2. Go to memory -> System Settings -> Delete the marketplace data and the rights database

3. Try to redownload the content

FYI:
It would be advisable to download the content using DIRECT MODEM CONNECTION.

hey, i've found the solution and im so happy i needed to share it. I have xbox live 360 purchased in the us and i leave in argentina. I wasnt even able to star the download due to my ip. So i studied possible solutions, and found www.your-freedom.net . You need to use that program to spoof your ip and simulate an ip from another country (supported by xbox live). Once you've done that, you need to add an openVNP program to share your spoofed connection to another device such as xbox or another computer. For this you need to have another network adapter and a crossover cable to connect directly the other device (xbox). Once you follow the instructions on the mentioned website you will be able to donwload and play the map pack 1 and 2. Hope it works out for you.
