Do you have an Exchange server running on the same server or are you popping an ISP for mail? Are you logon locally or is the from Termainal services? Also do you have the whole MS Office 2003 suite installed or just Outlook 2003?

You need to know the POP3 (Incoming mail) & SMTP(outgoing mail) server names.Your service provider can tell you these. When you are in Outlook From the menu- go to Tools Email Accounts Email Add a new Mail account Server Type POP3 Type in the server name Server Type SMTP Type in the server name Your Name, Email Address given by your service provider Log In User Name and Password Save all these info. If you are unable to receive a particular attachment from an individual, it depends on the attachment. Microsoft Outlook Express strips attachments of Microsoft Files. That is if someone sends you a MS Excel spread sheet or Word document, Outlook Express will strip the attachment for security. There's no way around this. The fix is have the person send you their file in .ZIP format. Then you can unzip it locally.
