Some computers have problems with having two operating systems, such as your xp and 2003. You could try deleting the 2003 server and downloading xp only.
If your os does not work after doing this then it is a safe bet that the problem lies with the xp software you have (It might have a corrupt file on it) and you might need to get a new copy of xp.
If all else fails then your 2003 server should be a fine substitute for your os

How can I fix reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key on Toshiba satellite C55D-B5308

A number of things can cause this:
1- Your Hard drive is\has failed (meaning, the the computer can't read the Hard drive)
2- The OS (Operating system) is not installed\corrupt.
3- There is a disk in the CD-Rom and your laptop is set to look at the CD-Rom for a OS

Some suggestions:
1- Replace hard drive
2- Try reinstalling the OS or doing a "repair" (Turn off, then back on, press F8 while it's booting up until you get a safe mode screen, chose the option to repair)
3- Check your BIOS settings (Press F2 or delete while booting it up)

I need to reset my laptop

Hello, here are the steps to resetting your computer.

Reinstall Windows from a Disk

1 Turn on your Toshiba Satellite. Insert your recovery disk or the original Windows operating system DVD

into the Satellite's CD/DVD drive. Turn off the computer.

2 Turn on the Toshiba Satellite. In the first few seconds while it is starting up, press and hold the F12 key on your keyboard to access the Boot Menu. (Note: Some Toshiba models may tell you to press "C" to boot

from the CD-ROM). The screen will display boot for this boot up session only.

3 Use the arrow keys to navigate. Select the CD-ROM/DVD drive to highlight it. Press "Enter." Be aware that this setting is for this session only; it is not a permanent change.

4 Allow the computer to start up. Follow the onscreen instructions for reinstalling the operating system from the disk.

Reinstall from a Recovery Partition

1 Boot up the Toshiba Satellite. In the first few seconds while it is starting up, press and hold the F8 key. This will begin the "Advanced Boot Options" menu.

2 Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate the menu. Move the keys to select "Repair Your Computer." Press "Enter."

3 Select your language and keyboard; click "Next."

4 Select your Windows user name from the drop-down menu. Enter your password if required. Click "OK." This will begin the "System Recovery Options" menu.

5 Select the Toshiba Recovery Wizard and follow the onscreen instructions. The Toshiba Recovery Wizard will delete all existing data on the hard drive and reinstall Windows.

Hope this helps!

Won't Load OS from DVD

If your laptop will post, meaning you can get to the BIOS, then YES. Re-flash it with the original BIOS, or a newer but proper BIOS. Then all should be OK again.
