I have managed to find the menu with the region code. Its the same as the hack for the Acoustic Solutions DVD237.

Without a DVD in the player
1). Press Setup
2). Enter 1389

Now at this point the menu appears and the hack says the arrow keys should allow you to change the region code but doesn't on my machine.

There is no unlock solution for this.
I purchased one today. I have looked everywhere, to no avail.

Need the hack to make argos dvd model ds-306a multi region

Yours is a rebadged Mikomi model. Whilst it's possible to access the technical page which shows the region code, you cannot actually change it without a special servicing remote control.

Unfortunately, for a cheap no-name brand like Mikomi it's actually cheaper to just buy another DVD player which can be hacked without any special equipment. Service remotes are very expensive to buy and if you can find a company which rents them out the typical charge costs as much as your DVD player cost to buy.

Sorry, but not all DVD players can realistically be made multi-region and yours is one of them.

Unlocking an argos mikomi ds-306

Eject the disk drive then press the setup button.

On the 'general' tab press 1389.

That should then bring you to a page where you can change the region.

Unfortuately for me i've got an rebaged argos one, meaning this doesnt work for me :(

Unlocking Mikomi DS-306 Dvd player

Partial solution...

Without a DVD in the player - eject the tray

1). Press Setup ensure you are showing 'General' tab
2). Enter 1389

At this point a list comes up with all sorts of info. At the bottom is Region Code 2. But I'm stumped as to how to change it. I've tried all different key combinations I can think of. On other Mikomi players except the ds-306a (the Argos is a rebadged Mikomi ds-306a)
you can then use the up or down arrows and cycle throw the region nunbers until you get to region 0. Odd that it doesn't seem to work on ds-306a. Perhaps someone else can figure the final steps out
