Take the handle screws out and there will be 2 screws on the trigger holding 2 wires in and 2 screws holding a bracket to keep the wire from being pulled out. replace it with a new cord and 2 new connectors. the wire is a 14-2 and you will need about 4' of it.
when putting a new plug-in on the end put the black wire to the brass side and the white wire to the chrome side.

Krups grinder 223

what problem do you have?
If the grinder does not run when turned on, make sure power is on to the outlet, then check the electrical cord.
If the grinder runs intermittently or doesn't stop, the switch may be clogged or damaged. Unplug the grinder and brush any grounds from the switch with a fine brush. Depress the switch several times with a toothpick. If the problem persists, disassemble the grinder to clean it and inspect the switch for breaks that you can fix.
If the grinder does not run, the motor shaft may be frozen. Disassemble the grinder, clean the shaft and lubricate each bearing point with one or two drops of lightweight machine oil. Rotate the shaft to evenly distribute the oil.
coffeegrinder1_1.jpgMost coffee grinders are accessed by removing fasteners on the base of the device. If the grinder still does not operate, the thermal limiter may be burned out. If you can't readily find a replacement thermal limiter, it may be more cost effective to replace the grinder.
If the grinder vibrates, the blade may be bent. Inspect the blade and replace if it is damaged or dull. Another cause of vibration could be a worn motor bearing. Unplug the grinder and remove the access plate. The bearing is bad if the motor shaft moves when pushed back and forth; replace the grinder.

I have a dewalt dw818 angle grinder when i press the trigger it starts spinning but if i tilt the grinder a little it stops spinning done the brushes already help please

Check your power cord. Turn the grinder on, then pull and twist the power cord, especially by the boot coming out of the grinder. If there's a break in the line, it's possible for it to work in some positions but it will die if you change the orientation of the cord to the tool.

No power

First thing to check is the brushes. They should be long enough and the springs should be strong enough to push the brushes firmly down on the armature. If not replace them. Next, check outlet with another tool; if no power fix outlet issue or use another outlet. If you have power at the outlet, plug in grinder and check voltage where cord goes in the grinder switch. If no power, replace the cord. If you have power coming in, check for power on out side of the switch with the switch on. If you don't have power replace the switch. If you have power out of the switch and the brushes are OK, you may have continuity problems in the field or armature. If you have the equipment to check them do so and replace what's damaged. If not I'd just replace the grinder, if you need an armature and/or field you would be better off with a new grinder.

The retractable cord is stuck so I can't get it out to use it.

(I had the same problem) If you have the model I have, take a small screwdriver and remove screw located in center of bottom plate....remove plate and unwrap cord...reattach bottom and replace screw. I just leave the cord fully extended.

Grinder doesn't start everytime the switch is pushed on and the light at the base of the tool comes on. What could this be ,the grinder is several years old.

that is a service tool light and more than likely the brushes are worn and need to be replaced, make a wiring diagram before removing anything, you can get parts from ereplacementparts.com, you would need your brand and model number. Let me know if you need more assistance

WHAT SIZE EXTENSION CORD FOR GA7021 SHOULD I USE AND MAX LENGHT? BURNING UP GRINDERS

Well for 15A the minimum wire size in your cord should 14 gauge, Length can't really be specified but you want to go for less resistance in the cord, thicker wire and less length will give you less resistance (more so thickness). If your grinder works fine without the extension cord, I would recommend getting a heavy duty extension cord with 12 gauge wire and trying that.

Replacement cord

you should be able to look in the phone book yellow pages under tools, electric repair to find one or you can buy them direct. Let me know the brand and model number with a zip code location and I will try and find an original one locally for you.
