My 1.8d non turbo ford escort looses power quicker than it should

My ford escort 1.8d non turbo is lacking power under load when throttle is pressed fully,if i lift the throttle pedal off a little it seems to pick up until the engine gradually picks up to match the ammount of throttle being used but at the next incline losses power again when u need full throttle which means i have to lift off throttle slightly and change down gears earlier than i would have to if i didnt have this power loss, its not a vacuum leak and ive also put in a tin of forte engine and injector cleaner thinking that the injectors may have been dirty or blocked due to the cars age, please help.

For a 1995 ford escort with a 1.9 engine, where does the fuel line from the filter connect on the fuel rail?

Find the fuel injector, then trace the fuel rail backwards to the connector, might be a saftey clip on top of the chrome plated connector....it's round and needs a special tool to open the spring inside the connector. The link below is for a 3.0L Taurus engine, same connector though.

What could be causing my 97 ford escort to loose power i have already replaced the battery and altinater?

there must be a drain somewhere , check that all interior lights are off when ignition is off , usual one's forgotton are in the trunk, map/glove box even under hood if fitted , if non found disconnect the neg battery terminal and place a test light on the terminal and the other end on the earth lead , if it lights up then you def have a drain somewhere , i would suggest that to find the problem component that you remove a fuse at a time until the light goes off , you will then know what circuit the problem is on and can investigate that circuit

Ford moneo turbo diesle s reg

there is a pipe witch runs from the diesel pump to the turbo which monitors pressure. sometimes a thin membrane in the pump goes releasing diesel straight in to the turbo especially on tick over. eventually that diesel is sucked in to the engine along with all the other gunk where it starts revving up on its own rattleing and banging. i have come across this on lucas diesel pumps before
