Mouse works keyboard does not. changed batteries, reconnected, restarted laptop still the same result

Did you push the connect button on the back of the keyboard? It should be someplace close to where you put the new batteries in.

Hope this helps

Keys faded on my keyboard

Get a cheap wired keyboard for 10 to 20 bucks. This product is overrated. I had to replaced it because some times I couldn't type, other times I couldn't stop the darn thing for repeating the last key.

The number key does not work even after changed the batteries. And the back space button and some of the keys don't work unless you push hard on them.

Look for dirt or grit under the keys, use a can of compressed air to clean out the keyboard. To use the number pad, you have to ensure that the NumLock button has been turned ON.

If the keys still dont seem to work, remove batteries and type randomly over keyboard for about 20secs. Now reinsert the batteries (ensure correct orientation), and reconnect the KB with dongle by pressing the connect button on dongle first and then on the KB. Make sure there is no source of interference nearby, such as speakers, powerful magnets, etc.

If the KB still does not function properly, uninstall and reinstall the software. Still wont function? KB is defective. Contact Logitech regarding an RMA if within the warranty period.

F keys suddenly not working

The "F mode" button toggles on and off the F keys. If you press it (accidentally) as I did, the keys will no longer function.

Simply press the "F mode" key again (it is directly above the "End->" key between F12 and Insert on this model keyboard) and functionality will be restored.

Cap Lock on or off

Your EX 110 receiver has 3 indicator lights (LEDs) that display the status of the Caps lock, Function key, and the Num lock during normal operating mode. These lights will also flash when the connect button on the receiver is pressed.
LED A: Indicates that the Caps Lock (Capital lock) key is on when lit.
LED F: Indicates that the F keys are in Standard F Keys Mode when lit and in Enhanced F Keys Mode when the LED is off.
  • Your EX 110 keyboard has an Enhanced F Keys Mode for F keys that provides additional functions you can program. See Knowledge Base article 9526.
LED 1: Indicates when the Num Lock (Number lock) key is on. This function allows the number pad to produce only numbers

Logitech cordless keyboard erratic after cleaning keys

seems to be that you may have accidentally swept some dirt underneath the keys.
try pressing each key individually in word and narrow down the affected key or keys, then remove the affected keys (using a keyboard key removal tool, or very carefully by hand) and clean underneath the key with a small dry clean brush both under the key and the board section it lay in, then replace the key and type the key again, if that has no luck then try the process again.

hope this helps

Hotkey problems

I had the same problem but finally found a solution hidden in the depths of Logitech. It's quoted below. I had to do it a couple of times before it worked, and it seems that you need to reconnect the mouse at the same time. I didn't the first time and then the keyboard refused to work. (Finger trouble?) :-(

The following is from :-

This article applies to the following products:
Cordless Access Duo
Cordless Acess Duo Optical
Cordless access keyboard
Cordless Elite Duo
Cordless MX Duo
Cordless Navigator Duo

You may be able to reset the keyboard and resolve the problem by clearing the keyboard capacitors. To do this, remove the batteries from the keyboard and type continuously on as many keys as possible for one to two minutes. This action should simulate touch-typing; you should not press and hold only some keys down.
After you clear the capacitors, replace the batteries and synchronize the keyboard using the following procedure:
  1. Make sure the batteries are in correctly. A diagram on the device itself or in the Getting Started Guide should tell you the correct polarity for the batteries.
  2. Press the connect button on the receiver.
  3. Press the connect button on the bottom or right hand edge of the keyboard.
NOTE: If you are using a Cordless Desktop System, you must do this procedure for both the mouse and the keyboard.
The "Connect" button on the mouse is quite small and usually requires a pencil tip or other small object to push it. Remember, ALL Logitech cordless devices will have a synchronization button. If you have the "Cordless Mouse" with Model Number (M/N) M-RN67, the button will be located in a small hole on the lower portion of the back of the mouse. You will need a paper clip to access the button.
