Alexander, this is what I found check the links
Turn on player
-Open tray
-Type 7-7-7-7 (4 times "7") on the remote control
-A menu appears on the TV screen, with the various regions (0-6). The current Region setting is highlighted (for me it was 2)
-Select Region 0
-Save setting by pressing the "setup" button on the remote
-Ready
The region code will not be restored to the original value when the player is turned off! PRESS THE HELPFUL BUTTON http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks/schneider-sdv-436/8013
If you wish to get more details; check the sites linked here. It has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Common codes to check devices with different brand TVs are given, in the order of the device's brand name list in alphabetical order.Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. http://remotesearch.blogspot.com/ http://electrohelponline.blogspot.com/
The remote control should have come with a leaflet/booklet containing a table of figures; these are the codes you need for your tv.
Failing this, check the leaflet/booklet for instructions on how to search for the code, using a key sequence on the remote; this is a long, drawn out process, but it may just work.
If all else fails, try using google to search for any web pages that may offer you the necessary code.
It might be worth the time involved to search the web for an answer.
Beyond that, contact the manufacturer of the remote control & ask them for the correct code.
In my experience, there are only a small number of tv manufacturers whose products are difficult to use with universal remote controls, but Schneider is an obscure make, & if it turns out to be not possible to link up the remote control, you may want to consider buying a new tv, but check that it will work with the remote control, before buying it.
Hope this has been of some help to you.
Thanks,
Steve.
The basic remote code for Schneider is 0065 on the sky remote Ver 8 or
065 for the earlier remotes.... this is a generic TV code that will
work with most Tvs.... try it!!! look at Sky Services to set the code
I am trying to use the Bravo 13 in 1 remote control on Toshiba tv to set up my BT Vision. I cannot do this because I do not hav ethe manual for the Bravo to enter the code.
Hi there i also had this problem with my "onn" television and there isnt an "onn" make - apparantly it is the same as pacific or schneider so if you get a remote from asda theyre really cheap less than a tenner - i found that look up either schneider or pacific and the first code it says should work for your tv!hope this helps!
