The fuse in the plug keeps blowing. Initially it would run for a while - sometimes 3 or 4 cycles - before blowing. It now blows the fuse the second that I plug in to the socket, even with the on/off button on the front of the dishwasher set to off.I'm keen to take it apart, but it's full of water as it blew mid-cycle. Is there a clever way to empty the machine without the power being on, or do I need bits of hose and sponges?A schematic blow up would also be extremely helpful.

Why does my cigarette lighter keep blowing fuses every time I plug something into it

First make sure you have the right size fuse in it look at your owners manual it should tell you what size to put in there sometimes people blow a fuse and replace it with a weaker fuse it will work for a while till they plug something in that overloads the fuse then blows and if they sell the car the new owners don't know this they just keep replacing it with same type fuse that's in it. Second make sure whatever it is you are plugging in doesn't have a short itself try plugging in something different and see if it blows then if it doesn't then you know where your problem lies.

did u replace the relay just a curious question, sometimes they have rust and water in the inside of the relay but my guess would be that you have a bare wire rubbing somewhere, causing the fuse to blow, anything significant has happened before that issue?

Correct pump for the truck?
A blown fuse means there is too much current draw from the pump.
Why is the tough question.Pinched wire?
If the fuse does not blow, immediately, can you measure the current draw at the pump in put wire?

Be SURE to cycle the key on for 5 seconds, off for 2 and back on for 5 seconds 3 times! Prime the pump.
If not primed, properly the new pump may burn out.
Sorry.

Ignition fuse keeps blowing, sometimes I drive 130 miles till it blows n sometimes 1/4 mile and sometimes as soon az I replace it it blows orther times I put a new fuse in and the fuel pump runs and when I...

I'd replace the fuel gauge sensor as a first thought, however, before doing that, I'd meter the sensor the times that it blows immediately.
You may want to check and see if it blows at a specific fuel level.
Trace the wiring to the fuel guage itself and make sure the wire isn't intermittantly shorting somewhere like where it runs through the headlight (if it does) and where it goes into the fuel gauge (or low fuel light).
You seem to have tracked the problem to the root area and just need to isolate it to the specific area.

My tail lights are not working, it keeps blowing my fuse.

1.Unplug your taillights at the sockets and the front running lights from sockets.
2. put in new fuse after unplugging taillights.
3 turn on taillights if fuse blows then the wiring is grounding out somewhere between the switch, fuse panel, and rear and or front parking lights.
4.If fuse does not blow then plug in one socket at a time keep rechecking fuse. when the fuse blows after plugging in a certain socket suspect that one to be bad and replace.

1994 honda magna fuse troubles

Check for shorts to the stator or rotor. It is part of the charging system under the left side cover. Sometimes they can get shorted out, and cause the fuse to blow. If you disconnect the plug for it, you can also test to see if the fuse still blows. If it doesn't, you have found your problem. You may need to unplug things and keep checking your fuse. When it stops blowing, you have found your problem. May want to get a resettable breaker till you find your problem.
