In this situation 8 times out of 10 the problem is not with the radio, it's that there are factory amplifiers. Many cars have them, and most require a little work, or an adapter to get going. Tell me the year, make, and model of the car, and perhaps I can give you more info.

Well if you have sound to the front, and not the rear, you may have some blown speakers.. The best way to test a speaker is with a multimeter.. Just set the multimeter to the "upside down horse shoe" (Ohms reading) and touch the leads directly to the speaker terminals. You should get a reading of around 4, or maybe 2 if it's amplified. if you get no reading, or a reading that is way off, your speakers are blown.

Alpine 9845 cde head unit car stereo i Cannot figure out how to access the Fader not the balance, altho i havent seen that function either. ive been to the alpine site and they dont even mention it. im sure...

Press the Rotary encoder (CDE-9845/CDE-9843
only) or press MODE (CDE-9841 only) repeatedly
to choose the desired mode.
Each press changes the modes as follows:
BASS → TREBLE → SUBWOOFER* → BALANCE → FADER
→ DEFEAT → VOLUME → BASS
BASS: -7 ~ +10
TREBLE: -7 ~ +7
Subwoofer : 0 ~ +15
Balance : L15 ~ R15
Fader : R15 ~ F15
Defeat : ON/OFF
Volume : 0 ~ 35

Alpine CDE 9870 Won't Eject Scratched CDs

Sounds like it's overheating. Does this unit have a small fan in the back? If so, does it work, or is the airflow blocked? Also, you can get 'steam' on the disc when coming in or out of the cold with it.

I am getting a DC error on my alpine cde-102 head

Hello christo12385,

The DC error is most likely caused by a shorted or grounded speaker wire. Check all speaker wires, correct the problem, and then go into the sound setup settings and reset the POWER IC to ON.

Hope this helps.

No sound from front speakers during CD operation.

I think you are using an external amplifier,if this is the case, you may be using the wrong remote wire for the amp.
Alpine use two blue wires,BLUE (only) this wire is for the pwr antenna and every time you insert a cd, this pwr line cut out.
BLUE/WHITE STRIPE this is the remote wire that you need to connect the remote of the amplifier.
