Water filter light not re-setting

I changed the filter, and called Whirpool, but can't get the light to go from red to green. I don't have a 'RESET FILTER' button. I'm seeing suggestions to hit the refrigerator light button 5 times in 10 seconds. That didn't do it. I tried 10 times as Whirpool suggested, still got red lights. Whirpool also said I could try to re-install the filter, or maybe the filter itself was bad. But I don't believe the filter system, and the light system are connected. So my red and green light don't have any idea what kind of filter I have in my refrigerator.

Any other ideas what I may try to reset my red filter indicator lights to green? Thank you.
