I have a Laserjet p4014dn printer. it warms normally but once it picks up paper, it jams. i have dried clearing jam several times but on starting to print it jams

Three areas you need to check.1.Pick up area: While pick up roller picking up the paper, delay pick or no pick causes paper jam..
2.Registration assembly area: Once paper picked from the tray, paper leading edge registered by the paper sensor located under the registration assembly.. In case this sensor dusty malfunction or flag damage, paper wont sense. result paper damage..
3.Fusing area. If the paper travels up to fuser area, check paper jammed before entering in fuser(Teflon not rotating properly, replace teflon sleeve) or just crossed?(check paper sensors in fuser unit, clean the sensors & check flags, flag springs.

Doesn't pick up[ paper

Possible that the intake detect or the pick in rollers are not aligned properly . You need to check the opto-couplers and the roller settings.Remove and check with a paper to see the uniformity of the gap between the rollers.

It does not pick up paper to align the cartridges, not will it print anything.

This model has a fairly common problem with the paper feed. If it appears that it tries to pick up paper but fails, then most likely there is a broken part.
Parts are not available for HP ink printers.. it's probably time for a new printer.

My printer wont pick up paper , it keeps saying load paper and press okay when clearly i have paper at the bottom

Try to put paper in the manual feedd tray. If it prints, then put more paper in the auto-load tray, if that doesn't work, check the EXACT location of the clips and position indicators that indicate what size of paper is inthe tray. They may have moved, just slightly out of alignment. That has happened to me. Other than that, it may need new pick-up rollers.
Hope that helps.

Paper jam problem. the red light blinking. how can you solved the problem

First make sure that there is no paper left in the printer paper path. If there is DO NOT JUST YANK IT OUT. You could damage the printer. Remove it carefully. Some printers have levers that release the pressure on the paper so it can be easily removed.

Check the paper path and make sure there isn't a flag or sensor out of alignment.

Power down, wait 30 seconds, and power back up to see if it clears.

If it does not pick up the paper at all, it will give you a paper jam error. Your pick up roller is probably dirty or worn out. You can clean it with alcohol or depending on the printer, replace it.

Make sure the paper tray is set correctly. If you have a removable tray, the paper size could have slipped back to a longer paper that what is in there and this will cause the paper jam error as the pickup roller will not be able to pick up the paper.

241.10 paper jam

Um I don't know what the other guy is saying since your paper jam has nothing to do with where he is telling to look...

From the service manual:

Error 241 subcode 10:
Page was not properly picked from tray 1.

Possible Causes:
Failure to feed possible causes include:
• Edge locking
• Worn or contaminated pick tires
• Overfilling of tray past the fill line.

Fan media.
Turn media over.
Reduce amount of media loaded in tray 1.
Replace pick tires.*

To replace pick tires:

Integrated tray autocompensator pick roll assembly removal

1. Remove the integrated tray, and look underneath the printer for the autocompensator arm. Pull the arm

2. Press on the end of the tab (A) and pull the pick roll off the arm. Repeat this step for the pick roll on the other side. Next, gently release the autocompensator arm. Discard the used pick rolls.

1. Remove the new pick rolls from their packaging.
2. Pull the autocompensator arm down. Locate the recessed area on the pick roll, and align it with the tab on the arm. There are two arrows on each pick roll. Make sure the bottom arrow faces you as you align the recessed area with the tab.

3. Push the pick roll onto the arm with the tab aligned. Repeat this step on the other side to install the other pick roll.

4. Gently release the autocompensator arm. Insert, integrated tray.

Thanks and please take a moment to rate this solution as fixya.
