Re: Unwanted Auto Interruption of Application
It seems as though an MS Project installation was accidentally stopped during installation of Office or something and is looking for the installation source, such asthe Office CD or a network drive/resource. Do you have the Office 2003 CD and is it the Pro version?

Its normal that the available ram is lower that the total memory. Once you start the computer, all system process will consume your CPU and RAM. 704MB of available RAM isn't bad if your a regular user. If you want more available RAM, check you configuration if there are unwanted programs that launch on start up.. You can do this by clicking the start button>RUN and type msconfig. Then a new window will appear and click on startup. Untick all unwanted application. This will make unnecessary or unwanted application to run on startup which consumes resources of your CPU and RAM. But if you really are not satisfied with the speed of your system despite of the available RAM is not that small, then go buy an additional RAM for your system.

I believe the media center has been configured as your default application to launch your programs. You could click on start button and got to default programs. from there click on auto play settings. you'll have an option there to select w/c software you want to use or run.
Click on Start button and click on RUN command. If you don't see RUN command then right-click on the start button and select Properties and select Classic Start menu and Apply and Ok. One you see the Run command, type in winword.exe or word.exe and press ok. If this command doesn’t launch your word application then files might have corrupted. Therefore, you need to repair the whole office suite. To do so, type appwiz.cpl in the Run command box. Locate Microsoft Office program and right-click on the program and select Change and then repair. This may take some time and once this is done, restart your computer and your application should be running up smoothly.
I always receive a "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT" error message.
“C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS- DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose ‘Close’ to terminate the application.”
This error message is not caused by the installation CD-ROM, but rather by the “Autoexec.nt” system file. Windows is unable to find this file when launching the installation CD-ROM, the file most likely having been deleted by another application.
To resolve this problem, proceed as follows: 1. Go to “C:\Windows\repair” and find the file “Autoexec.nt”. 2.Copy this file to “C:\Windows\system32”. 3.Right-click the file “Autoexec.nt” that you have just copied, and select “Properties”. 4.Tick the “Read-only” box and then click “OK”.
Generally this error occurs because you have deleted your word.exe & excel.exe files to confirm of deletion of these application file you can check by following pathway. If they are not there means you should restore deleted file from Recycle Bin.
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11
If the file are not available in Recycle Bin then you should reinstall M.S. Office Application.
You can restore your system to an earlier date when it was working prpoperly.
