Re: Unwanted launching of application

At anytime, was MS Project Pro 2K3 installed? If so, has it been uninstalled?

Do you still have the media for this application?

Hpp dv6 1115ee quick luanch notwotking

This model doesn't officially have Windows 8 support. That would be why the quick launch doesn't work. Also quick launch I believe for HP is only supported for Win 8 Pro and Enterprise versions, not the consumer version.

Launch start up repair

Im not sure if you are wanting to get to start-up repair or trying to get rid of it
If you want to access it, Boot system and do a hard nshut down. Restart, you will have the option to Launch start up repair or to start windows normally
If you are getting the option screen unwanted, this is primarily due to improper shutdown.
Whenever you shut down always try to use shutdown, restart options in taskbar.
If in the event you are stuck and need to do a hard shutdown try pressing Ctrl/Alt/del simultaneously
to access task manager.
Here you can end processes hung up or do a proper shutdown

You will need to download the launch manger application to make the volume keys work. Click on the link i have provided below and scroll down to near the bottom of the page. On the left hand side look for launch manager and click on the orange icon next to it. Once downloaded install the application and the volume problem should be resolved once you have restarted the laptop. Link below >>>>>

My acer aspire 5740 with windows 7,freezes everytime i connect to the internet.pls help asap.

If your computer or laptop freezes on a regular basis, chances are it has acquired a virus or a series of viruses.

Press "Ctrl+Alt+Delete" when your computer is frozen. This will launch a Windows Security window.

Hit "Shut on the "up" arrow beside a red button located at the bottom-right corner of your screen. Select "Restart." Wait until Windows finishes the rebooting process.

Launch your web browser and install an antivirus program. AVG, Norton, McAfee, Kaspersky are all reputable makers of antivirus software and downloads

Restart your system after you have finished installing the antivirus program.

Launch the program and run a complete virus scan. Wait until your antivirus program completes the task and detects the virus infection. Follow its prompts to remove the virus.

Run virus scans at least twice a week. This will prevent your computer from getting another virus that causes problems such as the screen freezing.

CineDashMediaConsole.volume not working.

Cinedash FIX for Windows 7
This works to fix the CineDash Media Console!
I had the same problem with my Aspire 8920G
Now it works fine.
Getting the CineDash Media Console and Launch Buttons working
If you have problems with either the CineDash Media Console or Launch buttons then you will be happy to hear that the solution for fixing these is easy!
The first thing that you will need to do is install the “Launch Manager” which can be downloaded off the Acer website. Go to and click the service support, then driver download. Go to your model. Download the Launch Manager on the acer site. The filename should be “Kilimanjaro_v2.0.00_Vistax32×64_XPx32×” the version of Launch Manager under the Windows Vista operating system .This will get the Email, Web and Empowering Technology buttons working with their default settings. If you need to change what the buttons do, you can launch the application named “Launch Manager” in the start menu.
Uninstall any previous version of Launch Manager
The solution to my problem was to get the Launch Manager to run in compatibility mode for Windows Vista Service Pack 2.
Unzip. Explore the new folder and right-click Setup.exe.
To do this go to the Launch Manager Install directory (C:\Program Files\Launch Manager ), right-click on “setup.exe”, select the “troubleshoot compatibility” tab, check the “Troubleshoot program” check box and then click “The program worked in earlier versions of Windows but won’t install or run now”. Then select “Windows Vista Service Pack 2”. Then click “Start” program. Now everything should work properly! It will install. But don’t reboot yet!
Now locate and explore the freshly installed folder in your program files directory – (probably C:\Program Files (x86)\Launch Manager or C:\Program Files\Launch Manager depending on if you are running 64-bit or 32-bit)
right-click on “LManager.exe”, select the “troubleshoot compatibility” tab, check the “Troubleshoot program” check box and then click “The program worked in earlier versions of Windows but won’t install or run now”. Then select “Windows Vista Service Pack 2”. Then click “Start” program. Now everything should work properly! It will install.
Reboot and enjoy properly synced volume, and fully functioning buttons.

I have the Aspire 5630 and I'm using windows 7 but I want the setup file of the launch manager because the multimedia buttons don't work. Thnx.

Alright, so I have the Aspire 5630 and after installing Windows 7 32 bit, the media keys did not work. Just installing the latest Launch Manager didn't work. But here's what did work for me: Install the 3.0.04 version of the Launch Manager ( If the link doesn't work, just select the Acer Aspire 7730 in the Service & Support section of their website, choose Windows 7 as the OS, and you'll see the Launch Manager under the Application tab.
After installing that and rebooting, the media still didn't work for me (though another user reports that they worked at this point). What I then did was download the latest Launch Manager for the Aspire 5630 for Vista (same deal as before if the link doesn't work, but select the 5630 and Vista instead). Extract the .zip, then take the "LManager.exe" file from the zip and replace the one in "C:program filesLaunch Manager" (back up the existing one if you so desire.) If Launch Manager is already running, right click on it's icon in tray and close it, then launch the one you just copied over (which will also now be the one that is launched automatically on start).
At this point, all of my media keys were working.
Hope this helps!
