I have the service manual except Pages 48 thru 68. I have gone thru the trouble shooting with no luck. I'm thinking that I might need the complete Power Supply Board. does anyone know where I can get one. Or any other ideas that I can do.
Set is in shutdown--some of these sets have problems with Glycol leaking out of one of the picture tubes---look and carefully check the first few inches from the front of the circuit boards--it will be a clear liquid or look like model airplane glue--it shorts things out--if you see the liquid do not touch it---it is like anti-freeze but much more concentrated and toxic---each picture tube has a sealed area full of the coolant--if it is Glycol---forget about it and get another set----this set is also prone to the High Voltage Transformer going bad---unsolder it and the Horz output transistor and see what happens.
good luck, Steve

when I plug it in to the wall the ( D964-D966-D947-D977-D922) green lights come on and a few seconds later (D939-D946) green come on along with red D912 and the red light on front come on for about a second then they all go out. At no time am I hitting the front on switch. I am just plugging it in then unplugging it after they all go out. I have the maintenance book. Let me know what to try next. thanks. Freeman
I was watching A show and heard a noise then a blank screen. Shut off and disconnected all units attached (DVD and surround sound) so nothing is connected. Pushing the on switch nothing happens. The previous info is what happens when I plug in to wall. Freeman
what is wrong with the set?
