Not rellay, Black wire is HOT leg and WHITE wire is neutral...reversal may trip breaker at house panel or worse, damage machine. On the plug, the wider (or larger) brass connector that gets plugged into wall outlet is neutral...white.

Our dishwasher has two grey and one green wire but the instructions say there should be a white, black, and green one. How do we figure out which wire is which?

The green is the earth. If the other two are the same colour, I guess the polarity positive and negative doesn't matter. What does the Bosch installation instructions say?

Kobalt 60 gal compressor 221565 book saYS NOTHING ABOUT WIRING PIGTAIL 240 VOLT I WIRED IT LIKE I THOUGHT IT WENT AND BLOWS BREAKER WHEN I PLUG IT IN HELP!!!!!!

266549_300.jpg This is the most popular switch used on compressors but may not be exactly what you pressure switch looks like. You will need to determine how the contacts transfer power across the terminals. Lets number the terminals from left to right 1,2,3,4. On this switch notice how power crosses from 1 to 2 and from 3 to 4. You can determin how power is transfered on your switch by using meter. On this switch, leads from motor (load) would be connected to 1 and 4 and line in ()would be connected to 2 and 3. Determine with meter which leads from your pigtail are 115v each. Pigtails have either 3 or four wires depending on your wall plug configuration. You will only need the two 115v lines (connected to 2 and 3) and a ground wire connected to green screw. Under the cap of the pressure switch, there should be a wiring diagram to assist you for your particular switch. Good luck

How to connect a four wire pigtail

The white wire goes to the middle terminal post on the dryer.
The red and black wires go to the outside terminal posts.Doesn't matter which.
The green ground wire needs to be attached to the outside metal case...anywhere. The easiest way is to put the eyelet on the screw that attaches the terminal cover plate when you put it back on. Sandwich it between the screw head, the plate and the case.
Hope that helps. Let me know if you need more info
Best, G

It's not getting any power to it, but the outlets are working.

most dish washers do not come prewired for power connection. customer or installer provides "pigtail" the part you plug in. Unplug unit, remove kick panel,, follow pigtail to connection bod and remove cover. cut off wire nuts, restrip wires and install new wire nuts

How do you install the frd03-dvd? mines came with no instructions.

Hello jeffery_armi,

The FRD03-DVD allows you to replace the factory head-unit and retain the audio and power to your OEM DVD player. With the FRD03-DVD, the audio from the OEM DVD player is connected to the auxiliary input of the aftermarket radio to allow the DVD audio to be heard over the vehicle's audio system.

The FRD03-DVD harness consists of a molex-plug, stereo RCA audio male connectors, and red and black wires ending in "pigtails".

1) Connect the molex plug into the OEM harness.
2) Connect the RCA audio connectors into the "AUX" inputs of your aftermarket head unit.
3) Tap the red "pigtail" wire into the "accessory" lead of the vehicle radio harness (also usually red).
4) Tap the black "pigtail" wire into the "ground" lead of the vehicle radio harness (also usually black). Alternatively, the black wire may be terminated with a ring terminal and secured to a metallic ground nearby.

Hope this helps.

Over heating

unplug the cord plug and open up where the terminal strip is. check the connections. if you have a four wire pigtail connections are: the two outside wires to the two outside terminals on the dryer. the middle white to the middle terminal and the last wire goes to chassis ground. if you have a three wire pigtail, the two outer wires go to the two outer terminals on the dryer terminal strip, the center wire goes to the center terminal and there should be a jumper strip from the center to the chassis ground screw.
