I tried the general solution, as i have had many other pioneer cd decks with the same operation. on this particular model it does not seem to work, the function button does nothing when pressed and held in standby mode.
i don't know if this problem is model specific, or exclusive to mine in general

I held the source button until it turned off, then i held the function button. nothing. I can hold it for 3 minutes it will not bring up the menu. I even tried it with the remote, same thing, no response. I'm starting to think there is just a problem with the unit.

Make sure unit is off by pressing and holding the 'Source' button. Wait 3 seconds, and then press and hold the 'Source' button. Do Not Release the button! A display reading "Initial" will show. Then use the arrow buttons surrounding the 'Source' to set clock. The 'Function' button isn't involved, dispite what the manuel states.

Press and hold the source button until the unit turns off (it may still be showing a demo but will not have any audio output). Press and hold the Function button untill the option screen shows up then continue to press the Function button until the clock shows blinking. At this point you want to use the up and down arrows to set the hour. Press Right button and repeat process for mins then AM/PM Good Luck

We have a Jensen radio in our rv and it comes on every day at the same time model awm970

Your unit has a built in alarm clock that has apparently been set and turned on. To turn it off, press the Alarm On/Off button located about halfway down on the right side of the control panel.

For instruction on using this unit, you can copy and paste the following URL to your address line in your browser, and then save or print the PDF version of the Owners Manual:

I have a model 31420E skyscan & have lost the instruction manual. Also I live in Sydney Australia and don't know anywhere here to get help.

I couldn't find the manufacturers' web site but I found the following , which may help;-

The unit automatically receives the time signal everyday at midnight and makes any required adjustment to the time displayed.

The WAVE OK indicator and the Tower Icon on the display will show if the time signal is successfully received or after manually pressing the SET/WAVE button

You can trigger a Signal Receive operation at any time by pressing the SET/WAVE button, which will activate the Signal Search function of the unit.
To Manually Set the Clock
To Set the Year and Date
1. Press SET/WAVE button after setting TIME ZONE and DST
2. Press + or - button sequentially to set the year (holding down the button will change the year at a high speed)
3. Press SET/WAVE button to confirm the year set and start the date process
4. Press + or - button sequentially to set the current date (holding down the button will change the date at a high speed)
NOTE: The weekday changes automatically depending on the year and date

To Set the Time
1. Press the SET/WAVE button after setting the calendar
2. Press + or - button sequentially to set the minutes (holding down the button will change the year at a high speed)
NOTE: Once you the press + or - button, the seconds will reset to 00

To set the 12/24 HR mode and the Temperature Mode
1. Press SET/WAVE button after setting the time
2. Press the + button to toggle between between 12HR and 24HR (military) modes
3. Press the - button to toggle between C and F temperature display mode
4. Press SET/WAVE button to confirm and quit the set mode

I am unable to set my clock on the Magic Chef MCM1110 W/B Microwave Oven I just purchased following the Instruction Manual

Typically all you have to do to set the clock is to press the Clock button, enter the time, and press Clock again. However on some models, clock set is accessed through the main menu, by pressing the Help button and following the prompts.

Just had the battery replaced and can't get the time and date set

I had a similar problem with mine and I left it for a while and it sorted itself out. It is possible to manually set the time and date by following the instruction manual.

If you no longer have your manual, you can download it by going to the casio website "", select "support", then "manuals", then "watches"; agree terms and conditions and select "watch manual archive" and put in the information off your watch to obtain the manual.
