OK,could be several things. First Im assuming you have the right mixture in. The two fuel set screws on the carb may need adj,one is for high rev the other is for low end, this should be done by a proffesional. The carb could also need rebuilt and cleaned,it is deffinately in your carb though.

Craftsman 25cc weedeater quit running whie using it. Filled it with gas, would not start. Poured gas in the carburater, used starting fuid, spark plug firing, still would not fire. Any ideas?

If it has compression and spark it has to be gas. Try a new plug. If it still does not start consider replacing the carb. About $14 fro m Ebay. Make sure to replace the fuel lines going into tank. They come with a carb kit usually.

What can I use to adjust the carburetor on a weedeater with out a special tool?

before adjusting check have right mixture --airfilter is clean-spark plug good -and exhaust screen [on quite a few ] is clean and not carboned up and fuel filter is clear--if still going to adjust only need a small screwdriver

Sears & Craftsman 25cc Weedeater brand new starts but will not stay running?

Try leaving the chokey partially engaged. Operate it this way for a few minutes until the engine is thoroughly heated then move to the run position. If this does not work return it.

Weedeater gas edger won't start!!!!!!!!!

yes, there is a spark module, but it's highly unlikely that two would have a bad module - more than likely, it is your gas mix. it must be fresh for the engine to run. the gas we have today will go bad in about a month and a half. if you happen to live in an area that has E85, forget it. small engines will not run very long, if at all on this junk. in some areas, you can get gas without alcohol, but it can only be used for lawn & garden equipment. it's expensive, but your engines will run

Brand new sears 2 cycle gas trimmer is very very hard to start . When you finally get it started and it runs for a while, it will restart easier.

Do you mean hard to start as in you have to pull and pull to get it started or do you mean hard to start as in tough to pull? If you have to pull and pull then the carb screws (gas and air) need to be adjusted. Start by turning them all the way in and the a turn and a fourth turn out and adjust from there. If you mean just tough to pull, the some newer weedeaters have lots of compression and since they come from the factory this way it can't be changed. It will always be tough to start.

Craftsman weedeater wont start

The problem that I had with my craftsman was that I found that there was a tube in the fuel tank that goes to the carb, & at the other end - inside the tank, there was a small screen with maybe a weight on it (to keep it in the gas no matter what position the weedeater is in). Mine was plugged up and i went to the saw shop and got a generic hose & end with the screen deal & changed them out. Solved my problem. Rick
