What is the make/model of the laptop? You may need to re-install or upgrade the video driver.

Hope this helps :) Kindly leave a rating. Thanks..

Deep sleep mode

You didn't post the Acer Model or the OS you are using? Here is a Windows 7 solution. Open the Control Panel, select Power Options, select High Performance, select Change Plan Settings, under Plugged In, set Display time, set SLEEP to Never, select Change Advanced Power Settings, scroll through the settings and set SLEEP and Hibernate to NEVER, set others to your preference. Always Shut down your laptop when not in use to prevent damage due to power surges and a reboot/reset of the laptop is a good thing.

Compac pasario c500 on/off light just blinks when I power on computer screen stays blank?

Shut down, unplug, remove battery, plug in, reboot. If it reboots, open Control Panel, Power Options, Advanced power settings, Change Sleep and Hibernate to Never. Adjust the settings to your preference. Set the Screen Saver time. When your laptop is not in use shut it down and unplug, this will prolong life and a reboot everyday will reset your laptop.

How do i test the power button on a toshiba equium l40 laptop

OpenControl Panel, Power settings, Advanced Power settings, change SLEEP to Never, Hibernate to never. Shut down and unplug, if you use mostly on AC, remove battery, your laptop when not in use. It will last longer, if there is a power surge not be damaged, and a reboot every day resets the computer.

It is possible that your VGA is malfunctioning. But you will notice it when the screen resolution is set to a specific resolution and color depth.
Games play at it's own resolution. Not at the resolution you set for Windows. Probably WoW is setting the screen resolution and color depth to a values at which the VGA fail.
Did you try changing the screen resolution in WoW options? If not try it. Also try changing color depth.
Also, download GPUZ and check your VGA.
Best of luck!

Hibernation is the biggest creator of software has killed more computer systems and corrupted more systems than I can count. Go to control panel > power options and change your power settings in there. Turn hibernation off and just have the computer go to sleep after a certain time. You will find that the computer will come right back in sleep mode and will be ready for action. Don't worry about the system running until sleeping and then waking up, it's a lot better than finding your entire operating system is now corrupt and has to be re-installed.

Pc display

This maybe due to lack of Video Card/Monitor drivers or the resolution is set to a small size. You will have to find out which video card you have, and if you have an LCD sometimes they come with drivers (Samsung LCDs have drivers). To find out what video card you have, you can usually go off the model name and number of your computer and get the drivers from your manufacturer's website. If it is a home built computer, you will have to look at the card/motherboard model and serial numbers to figure out the video card they use. Normally XP has a default video driver and it should not do a miniature resolution, but it happens sometimes.

Window xp display

This should be your graphics card driver is not it. The original installation of hardware drivers may be better.

If that is not what system you set up the software in question. Can be re-systems.
