Problem for Hannspree 28" Widescreen Flat-Panel LCD HD Monitor
Brightness menu keeps popping up
Sounds like a similar problem. My brightness menu keeps popping up and going to 100. The brightness is brought up with the up arrow and volume by the down arrow so could be similar issues. I have diconnected all cables and let the monitor sit for several hours with no power or other cables attached, so resetting all connections had no effect.

Hi,
This problem is usually caused due to a faulty microswitch in the brightness button. To rectify this, you'll have to change this switch.
Get your monitor serviced by a qualified service personnel.
