Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console
I've played my XBox with no trouble at all for the betteer part of three months. Recently, I rented Overlord and it wouldn't load. I played the demo, and it worked great, but the game freezes on the loading screen. No lights, no message. Just freezes. The controller becomes unresponsive and even ejecting the disk doesn't change the screen. I have to turn the console off eith the buttn and start over. So, I tried a couple of copies of teh game ans still no dice. Funny thing is, all of my other games work great. So, I bought Mass Effect and the same thing happened. Froze up on the initial Logo screen. The game works on my buddy's XBox just fine. I've tried everything Microsoft suggest, starting in just the dashboard, removing the hard drive, installing updates, cleaning the disk, everything they say to try. Now, I'm looking at sending it in to Microsoft, but most of what I see are horror stories about refurbished consoles and 5-time repairs. I just want to know what the deal is, Play Halo 3 online and play Mass Effect before Christmas.
Your system is headed for the dreaded red ring w/ three red rings. My system started doing the same thing just before this happend. If you have a service plan with it i would suggest returning it and getting a new one.
I tried all the there little tricks as well deleted everything off my harddrive all that good stuff i think it made mine worse. Cuz after all that i turned it back on and bam three red lights and no picture or sound.
