Problem for Dell 1600n All-In-One Laser Printer

Toner say 0%

My printer says toner is at 0%, but really its at about 90%. I have been able to get it to read correctly a couple of times but it always reverts back to 0%. The printer is a Dell 1600n laser printer.

ensure that the contacts on the cartridge and where they connect to the printer are clean of any toner residue

- Is this a new cartidge that you installed? Did the problem start when you installed the new cartridge? If the answer to either of these questions is yes, try another new cartridge and make sure it is a "new" one not a refurbished or refilled one. Many times new and refurbished cartridges are the problem with printing issues and that is what this sounds like.
