Red convergerce not working

When I turn the set on and there is a red double vision effect. It is more distorted in the upper corners then in the middle of the picture. I removed the back and covered the red flood light and the distortion goes away (but so does the red color). When I bring up the convergence cross hairs they will not vertically but they will move horizontally. Ive tried to fiddle with it but I am no expert. Any ideas?

i have a phillips 51pw9363.the picture almost looks 3-d.there is a blue streak on the bottom and red on the top.what could be causing the problem and is it expensive to repair,bad tubes?bad CRT's?
