my lint screen has no lint on it after drying a load. it also takes more than 1 cycle to dry. I have checked venting and it is clear. Heating element seems to be working, gets hot and goes off, comes back on. Not sure what else to do? Any suggestions? Thank you, Barb

- Thanks JINNDROOG,
Where should I be looking for the vent hose? Thanks
generically: Danger Will Rogers Danger...Better try to get inside the cabinet and check the venting.... ..possibilities: Vent pathway plugged (hence no lint) and lint backing up inside cutting flow and thermal sensor shutting down heating element. ..Vent hose in hole of cabinet but not connected to duct inside cabinet and lint is just filling cabinet. (common reason for premature heating element failure--3 times for my aunt fixed by tech--before I saw the vent hose connected only to the cabinet) ...both of the above is a hazard and can burn out the heating element. ..might possiblly be able to back blow through the vent hole and/or lint trap with a shopvac/vacuum cleaner (try **** and blow); but if works still need to verify that air pathways are clear and vent hose connected properly inside--should be fairly obvious inside. ...hope helps ....

Greetings, I have a two year old Roper REX6634RQ0 electric dryer that has been working like a charm until today. When you push the start button the dryer buzzes but does not start and I can feel it get really hot towards the front of the dryer. I have checked what I believe to be the thermal cut out and thermal fuse. I pretty much checked everything that looked like a fuse and had continuity with everything so I don't think its a blown fuse. I have verified the door switch was engaged and there are no obstructions. Any ideas? The thing gets hot, but wouldn't start. A relay maybe? Please be specific on where I can find it or what it might look like please, I am a novice with appliance repair Thanks in advance!

I replaced the motor and it worked fine through a full cycle. Now when I push the start button it makes a buzzing sound and does not start. I can hear the timer ticking and the drum turns fine when I manually turn it by hand.
