I have a zebra lb2844 label printer. Does anyone know if it can be used as a receipt printer instead? I am looking for a generic driver that may work as the supplied one wants a label size. (I want to be able to not specify a height if possible. The zebra driver does not allow me to do this)
(My boss was sold 2 of them for using as receipt printers but they seem to be label printers as far as I can tell and they won't take them back so I am trying to get them to work as receipt printers)

Normally this printer s meant to print labels.
To have them work as line printers there is only one thing to do. Start the printer while pressing on the button. When it starts feedingthe paper release the button. After printing the configuration it will act as a line printer. But the best way to use it as a receipt printer is to create a program which will send the information to the printer through a windows driver if your software can do that
