I'm afraid you'll have to take the unit out for it sounds as though one of the drive belts has either come loose or fallen off entirely. Let me know how you make out. P.S. sometimes there is a very small hole on the front panel try sticking a straigtned out paper clip in about 1/2 inch, it may release the tray manually.

Hi,
Press and hold the eject [TILT] button for more than 10 seconds (disc forced ejection).
Hope this solves your problem. If the problem persists, you'll have to reset the unit.
For more help and clarifications, please reply to this post. Thanks

This would need to be repaired as the motor is ether stuck or went out completely now if you decide to do the repair yourself be sure to right down any password what I mean by this is the unit will lock you out once its di connect thinking that its being stolen.

My best recommendation is to take it to the dealer if its a dealer system to ensure that you do not lock your self out of the system.

The unit will need to be opened up and probed to see if the motor got stuck or the motor is totaly gone.

Thanks

Hi,

This is a Hardware issue. You need to open the DVD player. Usually, the procedure to remove is simple. Remove the front panel. There might be 3 or 4 screws or clips that you need to remove. In few old models, you need to pull that up and remove the wiring.

Once done, clean all the parts. Make sure there is no broken part.Once you again set up the mechanism, more likely it would be all set.

Note - Run a disk available to clean the lense as well before you open that.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Disconnect battery cable for two minutes.

After reconnecting back the cable press repeatedly the eject button while you start the unit at the same time.

Try it twice, if that does not fix the problem, then there is an internal error , and the unit must be taken apart and repaired.

Try to unlock the eject mechanism , and to open the tray first.
