Can't load or delete music

On this MP3 player I can't delete songs, or load new songs. I've tried hitting the reset button, and it won't do anything. Anybody know what I can do to fix this problem?

Re: can't load or delete music

You could try rebuilding the directory. Just have to delete the old music folder and create a new one named the same thing. This worked for me.

Open the Insignia player directly into the harddrive on the player itself (look for the Insignia MP3 player icon in My Computers for XP when it is connected to the computer).

Plug it into any usb port on any computer. The unit should mount as a removable drive in "my computer" delete only the MP3 files, as some of the others may be software for operation of the MP3 player. Rock on!

I'm trying to delete all the songs I have on here to put new ones on. But when I hit the reset button nothing happens. What do I do?

plug it into your computer and go to internal storage and delete the songs one by one. Reseting it only helps when it freezes up.

are you sure you deleted all the songs?I suggest you connect to your pc again ,open the folder where your music is and just try deleting one disconnect and see if the song is still there , actually on the player. It's possible you disconnected before the pc had time to delete everything or that you deleted the files from your pc not the player.Did you get the usual message asking you if you're sure you wanted to delete and did it then show you a progress bar?

I am trying to delete music from my mp3 player and can't figure it out.

once you initialize the mp3 mode and you show a song you want to delete hit the mode button again and it should give you the option to delete a file(song) or delete the folder(all the music). You just have to scroll to the option you want and hit ok(or you center button)
