Question about Kenwood VR-6050 Receiver
I cannot find the setup code for my 2004 Orion TV... I have used 694, 0091 for the 'TV' button, and #222 for the 'other' button... the owners manual has a setup code for an Orion TV with an RC-RO726 (418), but no code for the RC-RO727 (#418 d/n work either)
Also the manual is not clear on the process... should the power be on during the process or does it matter? While holding the 'SOURCE' button down should the TV button be pushed before or after the code is entered?

that reciever is not going to carry a hi definition video signal, it doesnt have either hdmi or component video inputs.
you can still use it, but if you run the picture through the reciever, it will have poor quality.
heres how you are supposed to hook it up:
find the single,m yellow video jack on your sattelite box, and hook that up to the "tv" video input, then hook the laft and right audio outputs from the cable box into the "tv" audio left and right inputs on the receiver. hook up the dvd player and vcr in the same manner, using "dvd" and "VCR" (if labeled as such) inputs on the reciever.
finally, send the tv video and audio outputs to the composite video in and left/right audio inputs on the tv. the video will be running through the reciever, and when you use the reciever to switch the sound source, the video will also be changed. you could get better picture quality if you ran the video directly to the tv using component (seperate green, red and blue) outputs/inputs, and bypassing the reciever on the video end, but then you would have to change inputs on the tv AND reciever to change from your cable box to your dvd player.

We would be happy to help with that. Here is a list of someof the codes that we have for your Kenwood Receiver: 774, 795, 668, 691, 728, and 745.
Press and hold the AUX mode button until all mode buttons at the top of theremote come on, then release. Enter the number 2 then one of the codes for your Kenwood Receiver provided above. Press the pound (#) button, the mode light should flashthree times. Check that the code works by trying several different functions onthe remote to make sure it will properly operate your Kenwood Receiver. Keep in mindthat some codes may not be compatible with your equipment. If this is the case, please try the other codes listed for that device until you find one that iscompatible with your equipment.
We hope this helps you, and thank you for being a valued DISH Network Customer!
