Firstly, I'd suggest that you do a soft reset of your player. You will find the reset button next to the 'power on' button on the side of the player. Please hold the Reset button using a pen tip or other sharp object for 10 seconds. Now turn it on.
If that doesn't work, you can format the player. Provided its recognized by the computer. Contents may be removed by using this function. So make sure to back up your contents. Here is how to do this:
Connect your GoGear player to your PC. On your computer desktop, double-click "My computer". Double-click on the MP3 player's icon. Right-click on the Internal Storage icon and then select "Format". Disconnect it once the format is complete.
If that doesn't work, you can repair the player. To repair it you must have the software that came with the player or you can download it from the Philips suppot site.
WWW.philips.com/support/. Players that start with SA1xxxx uses Device manager and the Players that start with SA2xxx uses Philips Songbird.
Here is how to Repair your GoGear MP3 player using Device Manager:
Launch Device Manager and click the Tool menu and select "Repair my Philips GoGear", then follow the instructions to perform the repair process.
Here is how to Repair your GoGear MP3 player using Philips Songbird:
