Hi there,
it might be broke
.
to check if u can access it via pc, make sure>
-u do have an USB 2.0 port
-u have installed the proper drivers
(see CD that came with it-there are drivers for win98, if your winversion is win98 t!)
-if u are using windows vista, this will cause trouble, hard to fix,
try to connect to an winxp or win2000-PC instead!
this device should not need any drivers to function, the manufacturer(disney) does not provide any drivers,
but a firmware(internal driver software)
update can be found...
if you accidentally erased it, check out disney.com !
download, install and update your driver...
good luck

SOURCE: Computer doesn't recognize unit when connected
Hi All,
I had the same problem and was going crazy trying to figure this out, but I found that I had installed the GPX mw3816 on my bottom USB port and was trying to plug it into the port above it, because I had plugged another unit into the bottom port, but I switched the ports and it immediately installed. This is another reason, I am thinking of dumping windows and moving to a MAC. Peace!

I am guessing there is a problem with the driver for the audio player. I have a Coby Audio Player MP-C827, and one day my brother decided to just remove it from the computer without correctly stopping it. Ever since, whenever I plug in it into my PC, it just does not open...nothing happens. And I don't have the cd to re-install the driver files. With respect to all of the above, a driver file which is needed by the mp3 is either damaged or corrupt. Contact me at [email protected]
