Peter14, whoever told you that is full of ****. Your TV just needs the silicon grease cleaned off of the audio circuit. These tend to melt over time with this particular model and the grease becomes conductive and shorts out your audio. A service center should only charge you the cost of labor and a new Heat Insulation Pad (which isnt very expensive).

Changed 6 lamps y65 none work can they all be bad

Sounds like the circuit that is responsible for sparking and maintaining the voltage to the lamp has gone bad. It's called the Lamp Driver.

Don't waste any more money on lamps. Get a tech to have a look at either repairing or replacing the lamp driver.

Kdl-32v4000 sound

Check the speaker first. Check if there is any sound output comes from the audio out terminals at the back of the TV, by connecting them to any external audio out devices; such as an amplifier or so. If there is audio output comes from the external source such connected, and no audio output from the TV; since the speakers are good, the fault is with the audio output section circuit inside the TV. If there is no audio output from the external sources too, the fault is with the audio processing section circuit at the main board. If this is the case, main board is faulty, and should be replaced.

The sound in my LG LCD 32 inch tv has gone . Rest the picture is coming fine and there is no problem with display. Also the tv when connected to external CD player the sound comes from the player speakers....

if the speaker was not a problem the possibility is with in amplifier IC ( integrated circuit ) or at the signal audio processor, how will you know it through voltage checking. now it needs trouble shooting it can be done by a trained technician to fix the problem. now if you can do it with your own what you need is a complete electronic device and as will as a knowledge at least in repairing any electronic equipment. you can inquire price list for parts replacement at just give the model no.of your unit. good luck hope this may help.

Television sound was intermitent but now gone

Hi I am Vortash .. sounds like it could be dry solder joints on the circuit or the final speaker drive board , if you are O fae with electronics and can do this yourself .. check with a spyglass for rings or cracks around the component legs on the solder side of the circuit board and re solder to eliminate , you may find a gentle tap on the board will bring the sound back on this would confirm dry joints , however it could be the audio IC defunct or the output caps also .So maybe a visit to the engineers is needed in this case .for an free estimate on the cost of repair . . regards Vortash

T.V. comes on, there is sound but no picture.
T.V. is les than 18 months old. We use the T.V. when we come to our Condo in Daytona Beach for vacation, so it hasn't been used very much.

No sound

Alright first of all its either one of two things; either your driver has gotten mistakenly deleted which is recoverable or your sound card has gone bad.

For the first case simply go to and select your operating system and find the audio driver necessary.

If its the second you'll need a replacement part.

No audio in my goodmans LD1928w television

I would first try to determine if the problem is in the audio circuit or in the IF circuit. First you will need an RF signal generator with audio and video modulation this will allow you to inject audio into the set and allow you to track the signal with an oscilloscope. I would make the suggestion by your post that the audio circuit might be defective. However troubleshooting is the best bet. I would suggest that you have a qualified TV technician check the set out.

I hope this helps

Thank you,
