I have the KP501, too. Well, as I know, there is no difference between KP500 and KP501...it's the same OS...My Cookie doesn't want to turn on. When I try to turn on the phone it shows just the LG logo, more not. A few seconds later it turns automatically off and than 3 seconds later it turns on again....I don't know how is this happening...searching for help!!! please help me.... :S
what has happend is that the phone has detected a virus, like if you have ever used the wire that came in the box to connect to your computer to charge or to create mass storage and the computer has an undetected virus that can get into the phone via the wire, so what i recomend you do is that you scan your computer for undetected viruses, and also restore factory settings on your phone turn it of for 30 seconds turn it on and try again, if this does not work contact your service provider or LG themselves and treat the situation from there.
Sounds to me like a bad battery. Go to a generic cell phone shop and ask them to put in a replacement battery to see if that fixes the problem. If it works fine, then just buy the battery for 30 or so bucks. If not, then at least you know its not the battery and you arent out any cash.
