Question about Samsung ML-2510 Laser Printer

Please help My printer is under a year old and it will not print, when I clicked the troubleshooting icon it keeps telling me that the cover is open. I have opened and closed all of the covers, unplugged it and re-plugged the cables in, turned it off and back on, and even tried restart my computer. I am at a loss, and I don't know what else to do. Can you please help?

First install it at another computer and check if problem persists (if not - is a driver problem) icq 475653626

I don't know how to disable "keep printed documents". I have an Artisan 800 series printer.


Hi Michelle,

Follow the steps below and you will be able to fix the issue.

Click on START button
Click on Control Panel ( or Settings for windows XP )
Click and open Printers and Faxes ( or Printer folder icon )
Highlight the Printer icon and Right click on it
Left Click on Printer properties
Click on Advanced TAB on top and look for "Keep Printed Documents"
If there is a Check mark, you can Uncheck it.
If there is no check mark on it, Check mark it.
Click Apply/OK and Close the window and try to print.


If this does not resolve the issue, Try the step below

1. Open Printers and Faxes.

2. Right mouse click on the Epson printer and left click Properties.

3. Click on the Advanced tab.

4. Click the Print Processor button.

5. Under Print Processor, select WinPrint.

6. Under Default Datatype, make sure RAW is selected. Click OK.

7. Back on the Advanced tab remove the check next to Keep Printed
Documents.

8. Click Apply and OK.

In this error condition, the following light pattern displays on the product control panel and a message might display on the computer:
  • Print Cartridge status light : On
  • Resume light : Off
  • Power light : On

    • The cover on the product might be open.
    • There might be a problem with one or both cartridges.

  1. If the cover on the product is open, close it.
  2. Press the Resume button (c01219285.bmp ) to continue printing.
Solution two: Determine the cartridge issue When there is an issue with a cartridge, a yellow arrow on top of the carriage (inside the product) points to a drawing of a cartridge that indicates what the issue is. Follow these steps to determine the cartridge issue, and then continue to the next section for solutions to resolve the issue.
  1. Open the top cover on the product. Wait for the carriage to move. The yellow arrow on top of the carriage (inside the product) points to a drawing of a cartridge that indicates what the issue is.
  2. Look at the drawing and then find the icon in the following figure that matches the drawing. Each of these icons represents a different cartridge issue. Use the icons to determine the cartridge issue. My printer keeps sayine offline and it wont print, How do I get it to print


Click Start and then go to Printers and Faxes (XP), Printers(Vista), Devices and Printers(Win 7)
1. Right Click on your printer Icon 2. Click Open or See What's Printing 3. Click the option that says Printer on the upper left corner of the window that pops up. 4. Make sure the only thing that is checked under that menu is Set As Default Printer. 5. If Use Printer Offline or Pause Printing has a check mark. Uncheck it.
Try printing again. I hope this helped.

I need to print a mirror image


Hi,

Do you want to print in Mirror Image ?

Follow the steps and you will be able to do so,

Click on Start button
Open Control Panel
Open Printers
Highlight the Printer icon name ( HP Photosmart C4680 All-in-One Series )
Right click on the Printer icon and Left click on Printing Properties
Under Advanced Tab click Mirror Image ON
Click Apply - Click OK

Try to print and it will print in Mirror Image.

When networking, I can see the printer on the network, but when I send a test page, the printer immediately says "cancelling". I cannot figure what the problem is. Any suggestions?


Hi,

There must be IP address conflict.
Check the Dell printer IP address

Open Printers and Faxes Folder
Right click on printer icon ( dell )
Click on Properties
Under Ports Tab check the IP address with check mark
If the Ports IP address is Different as that in Dell Printer
Highlight the Port with IP address and click on Configure IP below
Change the IP address to the Printer and Click OK

Also check if there are print job stuck in the Queue ( like no. 1,2 )
The printer icon should show READY and 0
Or Else, Right click on the printer icon and Click Cancel Print job.

Restart your PC and Printer and try to print. It should work
If this does not work, let me know what is the Operating system of your PC

Try this Step if your Operating system is Windows 7
Right click on the printer icon
Left click on Troubleshoot
Continue with the Wizard and complete it
You are ready to print.

My printer scans and prints ok. but doesn't print documents from my documents. Microsoft reinstalled new driver with no results. Printer makes noise as if it were going to print but all I get is a blank...


first try to print windows test page from the pc and check out.if windows test page prints ok then try to print from my documents.but if windows test page does not print that means drivers are not got properly installed.

click stat---click settings --- click printer and faxes-- a page will get opened-- on that page you will see you printer icon-- right click that printer icon ------ and click the last option called properties ---- a page will get opened.---- on that page on lower right corner you will see print test page option--- click that and see if that page prints.

When I try to print a page it only prints the first sentence without the first few words and the second sentence without the last few words all the way down the page. Sometimes it prints the first two...


Install the temporary drivers
If the product is connected via network perform the below steps to add temporary drivers
1.On the Windows task bar, click the Start icon, click Control Panel, and then double-click Printers and Faxes.
2.Click Add a Printer.
3.Select Local printer attached to this computer. Please uncheck the option ‘Automatically detect plug and play printers’.
4.In the Add Printer dialog box, Select Standard TCP/IP port, and then click Next.
5.In the next window type IP Address of the printer. You can get the IP Address of your All-in-One by printing a Network configuration page on your All-in-One.
6.Under Manufacturer, scroll to and click HP.
7.Under Printers, scroll to and click hp DeskJet 990c, and then click Next . The Type a printer name dialog box opens.
8.Make sure hp DeskJet 990c is listed in the Printer name box, click the Set as the default printer checkbox to clear it, and then click Next.
9.In the Printer Sharing dialog box, select the appropriate radio button to share the print driver or not, and then click Next.
10.Click Print a test page to make sure the print driver is working correctly, and then click Close. Click Troubleshoot printer problems to solve the issue if the test page does not print correctly.
11.Click Finish to complete the installation.
If the product is connected via USB Cable perform the below steps to add temporaty drivers

1.On the Windows task bar, click the Start icon, click Control Panel, and then double-click Printers and Faxes.
2.Click Add a Printer.
3.In the Add Printer dialog box, Select USB001 port, and then click Next.
4.Under Manufacturer, scroll to and click HP.
5.Under Printers, scroll to and click hp DeskJet 990c, and then click Next . The Type a printer name dialog box opens.
6.Make sure hp DeskJet 990c is listed in the Printer name box, click the Set as the default printer checkbox to clear it, and then click Next.
7.In the Printer Sharing dialog box, select the appropriate radio button to share the print driver or not, and then click Next.
8.Click Print a test page to make sure the print driver is working correctly, and then click Close. Click Troubleshoot printer problems to solve the issue if the test page does not print correctly.
9.Click Finish to complete the installation.


After adding the temporary drivers, while printing from applicaiton you should need to do the following steps

1.In the program you are printing from, click File, and then click Print. The Print dialog box opens.
2.In the Name drop-down list, click hp DeskJet 990c, and then click OK to print.

Hi, i was trying to print something and it keeps telling me printer busy and then troubleshoot and when i turn off printer and turn back on, its telling me the same think. What should i do?


If you double click on the printer icon in the bottom right hand corner of your taskbar are there any print jobs that are paused. if there are any there then click on the print job and then click on document - cancel.

Printer taking too much time to print


Hi,
Please perform the steps and check if it improves the printing speed.

1. Click Start or Windows Logo>> Control Panel >> Printers and Faxes or printers
2. In the Printers window, right click on the printer icon and click on Properties.
3. Click on Advanced tab.
4. Under this select the "Print Directly to Printer" option.
5. Click on Apply and OK. Now try printing.

Uninstalling


Start,Control panel,Printers and faxs,your printers icon, box ie print que for printer on the pc, should open, click on doc icon and delete it.

Should be able to double click lexmark icon to open too.

Better off using uninstall utility in windows for removing programs
