Question about LG VX5200 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

Frequent loss of service

My phone has begun having weak signals in places where the signal used to be strong, and is always saying "Loss of service" and then picking up the signal again. Someone was telling me I should get a new phone because this one has probably been dropped so much over the past two years that it's broken. Is there a way to fix this?

Rumor reflex signal fades and drops calls too often. Help?

Two possible problems: hardware or carrier. So a few questions:

- Does this happen everywhere, or only certain places?
- Does this happen when the phone is in a strong signal area, moderate strength signal area, or weak signal area?

It is possible that the radio simply isn't powerful or intelligent enough to hang on to a weak signal, or it is possible that you are in a very weak signal area. My first route would be to contact the carrier and ask for a signal check in the area where it happens most often. If the carrier confirms that the signal is good, you either have a defective handset, or a simply poor one.

Signal weak

I'm assuming that your cell phone works fine.

Your cell phone gets its signals from cell towers serving your cell phone service provider, e.g. Sprint, AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile.

If you are in a building or elevator, your signal can be weak. Try going to the edge / side / top of a building, like by a glass window to see if the signal is stronger.
Or if your cell phone service provider (phone company) doesn't have a cell tower close to where you are, the signal can be weak or nil.
You can find out your cell phone company's cell tower coverage areas checking their website. If you are at locations where your cell phone service provider has good coverage, you will get stronger signals. Otherwise, expect to get weak signals.
Yes, it's always prudent to check which cell phone service provider has good cell (tower) coverage in areas where you are (using your cell phone) most of the time, and subscribe to that company's cell phone service.

Why is my wifi signal not that strong

place your wifi router at the highest possible point on the wall. if it is still weak, see if you can adjust the tx signal strength on your router (some models allow that). post more details about your router so we can try to elp.

When someone calls or I call them we can not hear each other

Use a handfree headphone set to confirm the status of the earpiece and the mic. If this works then there is fault or dirt accumulating in the small holes of the earpiece and mic. clean and try.
If there is no result with the handsfree then the mother board has some hardware issues.
Take consensus with the service center.

Hello.. look.. here is the problem. i have a samsung s5230 star since the begining of this year. since two weeks ago my phone only shows limited service or no service. however sometimes i have signal .....

Your phone can't seem to locate signal on your are that's why it says No service. There;s nothing wrong with the phone, it's more on the signal coverage of your netwrok provider. There are some areaas that have strong signals and some areas that have weak signals. You may also want to contact your network provider about it.

My phone keeps saying its searching for service when im at home and i have always had service in my home. What should I do?

It is possible that the phone has dropped in its reception due to some issues in the antennae section. If you are able to work when you are out of the house then it is for sure that the low reception of the nearest tower is down. First of all check with your service provider if the tower is having an issue some times it may be operating in less power- a possible down condition. IF not check your SIM with another phone, if the signals look ggood then you may need to open your set to check if there is any traces of moisture , break or coneecction loss in the antennae output section. Look carefully clean and set back. If not the phone network IC may be defective/weak. Hope this works out. Good day
